  1. Yep, tried that - does anyone know what the badword it means?[]
  2. I know Carson and Tamiya are tied somehow, but is Carson stuff readily available in the UK? I'm after a Mad Rat - it's got a dead cool Hummer body on it! There's a couple on Ebay (german) and was wondering about the price. http://216.239.35.120/translate_c?hl=en&u=...rkt.de/box.html Cheers dudes
  3. I had a German shades bidder the other day, so I decided to see what else he was bidding on, just to see if he was one of these 'bid on 20 items just to upset everyone' chaps and got a message saying German ebayers details are protected by privacy laws - this seems a bit unfair if they can check out everyone else - can they?
  4. I dealt with a guy who included it in his address details on the invoice - well helpful. I've phoned him a few times since and done some good pre-ebaying!
  5. How long did you leave it in the brake fluid? One of mine took 2 4 day shifts. On the first one it loosened the top coat - followed by a good scrub down with a scouring pad Second one cleared out the corners and other 'thick' areas
  6. Has anyone got a centre diff with brake assembly going spare (need the driveshafts to go to F and B axles also)? Also need a front dogbone and drive shaft (to wheel) A set of shocks would be welcome too! DX parts for trade, or cash Many thanks Andy
  7. Couldn't ebay help on this one - it's advertised as 'with diff' if it's not there has the item been mis-sold?; Specifications 1/10 scale off-road vehicle fiberglass plate chassis with metal supports and clear plastic radio box 2WD with rear differential and independent drive axles fully independent front and rear suspension front trailing arm and rear lower A-arm suspension using oil filled dampers RS-540 motor paddle off-road tires in rear with ribbed fronts hard plastic body The diff is probably one of the most sought after parts, so mentioning it and not selling it would surely be grounds for a refund???
  8. Whilst were back in the 70's - did ne1 have a 'computa-car' It was a normal car, with a slot from the front bumber to the rear, and you fed in cardboard 'instruction' sheets - you cut bits out for turning left and right, fed it into the front bumper and the car drove off Or am I mad?
  9. Guys - they're probably all at the same farm that pets go to when you was young[]
  10. I'm pretty sure he was selling up (someone was selling a huge inventory on ebay a while back)- it was mentioned in an earlier post - I could be wrong though!
  11. "THIS IS A TAMIYA BLITZER BEETLE NIB, JUST OPENED IT THIS WEEK. THE ONLY THING THAT WILL BE MISSING OUT OF THIS KIT IS THE BODY PART SET AND DECALS" not much use to Mr. Newbie though!
  12. http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=10122002110258 Still haven't done a lot to it though!
  13. Seriously mad[:0] Surely he'd have been better splitting them up though?
  14. DIY Snow Chains; http://rcvehicles.about.com/library/rc101/...101_chainsa.htm Video on page 5!!!!!
  15. He obviously thinks it's worth $300 - and if you REALLY want it bad, you could buy it for $350 to save getting outbid - then everyone's happy!
  16. Yep it is, but it's stuck on the top of my wardrobe at the minute, and I can't see the future missus wanting to adopt it[]
  17. Here's some more from Roby's board Please note; my painjobs aren't finished either[] http://pub59.ezboard.com/foldtamiyaandvint...icID=1639.topic
  18. It's gotta go - the thought of it going into storage is too much to bear[V] http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1924146268 UK only - too much weight/bulk for overseas shipping!
  19. id="quote">id="quote">Cheers Roby - didn't know about that[]
  20. Hey Bib I usually look for the car name, ie Sand Scorcher - tried 'Tamiya' but got fed up digging thru[] Probably miss a few good ones tho, but then, not everyone puts Tamiya in the title for Scorcher stuff. One thing that is a pain in the butt is Clod parts - Need to search for Clod and Clodbuster; Take this auction - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1921653806 won't show on a Clodbuster search because of the space between Clod and Buster, but a search for Clod finds it ok.
  21. I got that too, it happens when you try to sort by location also. It's clicking on the 'sort by' tags that seems to cause the problem
  22. It wasn't there for a few days whilst the club was being restored - you may have been sober then! NOTE TO CHILDREN Being drunk is not big and not clever - but it's **** funny at the time[][]
  23. This is getting like the convo's me and my old man have about 1:1 kit cars; Look at that - they started with a blank piece of paper and that's the best they could come up with Exactly, why spend all that time making THAT I dunno, all they had to do was put some nice curves on it. For the amount of tme you spend building it you might as well buy a Ford Etc. Etc. back in the bath chair Etc. []
  24. Gotta agrre with the aboves, if he stated US only, it's only courtesy to ask before buying. I advertise whole cars as 'UK only' purely because the shipping charges abroad are quite high, and have had to barter the costs with one buyer!, although if someone contacts me to ship outside UK, I have no problem once they are aware of charges. OT Is bidpay becoming more popular in the US than paypal? I know the buyer pays a fee, but does the seller too? The only reason I ask is that I bought something waaaaaay back, and they no longer took paypal (it said so in the auction but I just saw paypal and not the 'don't accept' bit in front of it!)
  25. Don't forget he probably had to pay P&P[]
