  1. This was posted up on FB today Legit?
  2. If it's a white body, I usually paint it black or the same colour as the outside. For bodies moulded in dark plastic, I don't bother.
  3. Many years back, on some previous forum version, in order to edit your profile you had to provide a date of birth, including the year. As so many people are 'cautious' about putting their security details online, a false date could've been used - On this forum, my DOB is 29/02/1869 The current version of the forum does not require the year, so anyone wanting to put their true birthday can do so.
  4. Facebook 'leak' 2 x Chassis-only kits TS Version looks like the BOM without bodyset, wheels and tyres but with standard suspension setup at rear TA-Pro has GMade's steel driveshafts, cantilever rear end and seems to have wider wheel hexes .
  5. Here's the wedge/ramp thingy; From http://www.toybaron.com/MIPreference.htm
  6. Direct worked fine There was also a servo mounting wedge/ramp made by one of the hop-up companies, which fitted between the servo and the chassis so the servo horn could face down, but I can't find a pic of that at the mo...
  7. All added - cheers @Mokei Kagaku and @acprc
  8. @MICHAELs TopForce17 - Yes, your 'about me' biography can be edited once you're a subscriber
  9. Looks like they've softened a bit; https://www.denverpost.com/2018/05/17/photobucket-image-hosting-plans/ There were some browser fixes/hacks too and, for a while, I saw 'hosted by photobucket' (or similar) wording added to a lot of pics in the bottom left corner
  10. Try this one;
  11. A lot of these units replace the host truck's steering knuckle with their own knuckle Whilst there's no pic of the knuckle, these probably do replace them as there's two different Tamiya compatible units (High Lift and CR01) Here's RC4WD's version;
  12. Yeah, don't edit anything that might need changing back until this is resolved - It's the first time I've come across an admin option that doesn't work (namely editing a post) so it must be something wrong with the forum software as opposed to any rights or limits imposed on non-mod members.
  13. Ok, it's definitely the length of the post that affects the editing The post above was edited 7 or 8 times with no problem at all but, as soon as I pasted the long post into it, the editing jammed up I can't see anything in the settings to indicate it's a deliberate limitation or flood control, will have to look into it further. I just tried to edit (as admin) the Madd_Monster's post copying Jenny's and got the same message; I think it could be a forum glitch rather than a setting, it's the first time I've seen an option limited to admin.
  14. I got 'blocked' trying to change the colour of the text, never tried justification Did you get blocked on the first edit or after a few?
  15. The post above was me - I managed to edit the top couple of paragraphs three times, then got the same message; It's obviously nothing to do with the age of the post - I'll run it by Chris and see if he can find out, I've never seen that message before
  16. I just logged in as madd_monster (a mate's account, he doesn't use the forum any more) as there's no admin rights on that login and edited this post from 2003. so it's not a time constraint Next time it happens please post a link to the thread and screenshots of any messages
  17. No - we took a vote on restricting the editing timeframe but it was a tied vote and it wasn't implemented.
  18. There's no instructions on diff lube in those pics - doesn't the putty just lock the diff solid? KongHead manual shows diff lube;
  19. @JennyMo - There's no settings/options for limiting thread/post length or the number of images per post that I can find - there was years ago, but that was limited to 10 pictures and was back in the days of 56k modems Next time you have this, could you leave the post unedited and post a link to it here please. I can't check any of mine as I can edit posts because of admin rights, but there might be something Chris can check if we can use a 'problem' post to test
  20. I get them too and hate them - I think my most has been 6 different picture topics in order to edit one post. Sometimes, it's as if they haven't seen all the 'cars' in one pic or the pics are so out of focus it's hard to tell a bus from a shopfront. I'll ask Chris to see if anything can be done about it - I didn't know you guys were seeing them too, thought it was only an admin problem (because they been there for ages now and this is the first mention of them as ar as I know) The Captcha thing came in on the last update, and I couldn't find any way of turning it off.
  21. You don't have to use mod motors, but if you don't then the motors must be set at zero timing. The ones you've linked to are ok provided the ESC can handle 2 x 17t, but just remember the timing on one motor has to mirror the timing on the other - +10 on front = -10 on rear (+/- about zero marking)
  22. Could you let Chris know please, this thread is for adding models only, I can't correct typos
  23. I can't think of another truck using that shell - Is it a modified King Blackfoot shell? The only thing making me think that is the screw holding the grille on
  24. @ThunderDragonCy - yes, the old tube and the little starter thingy in the side are replaced but the light fitting attached to the ceiling is the original bit Light now comes on instantly, and it's close to daylight so very 'cold' light in comparison
