  1. Hey 'Richard' no worries - was foreign to me too (still is, but I got it to work somehow)! Somewhere on your ISP's main site, will be a talk-through on how to 'claim' your webspace. I'm with BTINTERNET, and after finding out how to do it, called my space kerm1t.btinternet.co.uk To view it, I type http://www.kerm1t.btinternet.co.uk/ If you click on the link, it'll show a list of all the pics I've uploaded (mainly for forums I think) The upload program, WS_FTPLE, I downloaded from the web, here's the google search results, you should be able to download it somewhere here; http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=WS_FTPLE&...le+Search&meta= Once you got it installed, and have named your space, you just drag and drop files from your computer onto the net On the left is my desktop, on the right is my webspace. Once you dropped file, the link to it is your webspace address, plus the filename you just dropped. So the link would read http://www.kerm1t.btinternet.co.uk/RIGHT.JPG for the right hand view of a truck I sold Then, to get it to show up as a photo, just put the image code;(img) and (/img) at either end of the link ()=[]id="red">id="size5"> The hardest bit of all of it for me, was finding the address for my webspace in the first place.
  2. First off, get some web space from your isp. They should already have allocated some for you. Next, upload pix to web - I use a prog called WS_FTPLE Once you done that, the picture will have an address, like a web page. My rough rider signature's web page is; http://www.andy.pentangle.co.uk/sinature.JPG Then use code to tell the forum to show an image; (img)http://www.andy.pentangle.co.uk/sinature.JPG(/img) You'll need to replace the () with [] for it to work properly, or click on the little icon that looks like a mountain range and type or paste your pix web address in between the backets; (img) TYPE OR PASTE WEB ADRESS HERE(/img) Then click the 'preview' button to check you done it right If you have, your text and picture will show in a preview box.

  8. Fair do's, wasn't gonna do anything immediately, just looking for opinion. The wierd thing is, he upped his own bid, which made me think he might be away at end of auction and REALLY wanted it, but like I said, he was bidding on other stuff yesterday. Will have to see.....
  9. Ok, you sold summat on the bay, 2 days later no contact, even though bidder has placed bids on other stuff since close of auction and emails. You have another enthusiastic, **** fast paying, second buyer, but still can't get a response from original one (after 2 mails through ebay and two through normal email) What would you do??

  13. First off, you need; 2 pictures for a 'morph' where 1 car turns into another or A selection of pics for a slideshow. Then you need a program to do the magic. I used Microsoft Gif Animator for part of it, and Winmorph V2.01 Jimbo used Paint Shop Pro 5 Calvin3 used Ulead Gif Animator Once you got it animated, you need to put it on the webspace your internet provider supplies, then link to it using (img) and (/img) but replace the ('s with [ and the )'s with ] This one below; is displayed by typing; (img)http://www.kerm1t.btinternet.co.uk/morph.gif(/img) Don't forget the ( and ) need to be [ and ] though. I have to type them as ( and ) to explain, otherwise you'll just get another pic. Check the size of the file when you're finished, if it's too big, us 56k guys will have to wait hours to see it []
  14. Dunno about wheels, but I dunked a scorcher nose, with the lights still glued on, and it stripped the chrome off no problem http://www.tamiyaclub.com/getuserimage.asp...002125419_4.jpg
  15. THIS IS WHY BILLPOINT SUCK: My Question; Hi there Received a payment and would prefer it was not transferred into my bank account. Can I keep it in my Billpoint account (how?) or transfer it to my PayPal account (how?) Many thanks Andy Moore Their 'reply' Dear Andy, Thank you for writing to Billpoint/eBay Online Payments UK. As a seller, your payment typically arrives in your bank account seven business days after the buyer successfully completes the payment process. All of your payment details are available on-line in your eBay Payments/Billpoint Deposits & Fees Report, available from My eBay under the Accounts tab or from the eBay Payments/Billpoint home page at www.billpointuk.com. Why does it seem to take a long time for your payment to reach your account? First, we rely on existing financial systems to move money. These systems operate on business days only, so when a weekend (or worse yet, a holiday weekend) falls in the middle of your payment schedule, this can add time into the process. Here is how the payment process breaks down: 1. On Day 0, the buyer successfully completes the credit/debit card payment process. We send this transaction to our bank processor that night. 2. On Day 1, our processor sends the transaction to the appropriate card association (Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo). 3. On Day 2, the card associations send our bank processor all the deposits for the credit/debit card transactions sent on Day 1. 4. On Day 3, our processor sends these funds to eBay Payments/Billpoint, and we send your payment into the international banking network (BACS), where it travels electronically to your bank. 5. Depending upon your bank's processing system, it may take another 4 business days for the payment to appear in your account as available for withdrawal. This additional four days from the day we send payment is the standard timeframe for transactions moving through the BACS system and is not controllable by eBay Online Payments. If your payment has taken longer than the process described above, please contact our Seller Payment Department at payment@billpointuk.com, and we'll be happy to investigate. Kind regards, Etc. Did any of that answer my question?
  16. Good job too! Last time I sold using billpoint, the cash took 2 weeks to hit my bank. At least with paypal you can spend it straightaway[]
  17. Yeah, it is a bit mad, if it all goes thru (and reading his feedback it should), I'm gonna have to see if he wants any other bits just to ease my conscience!
  18. Is it possible to have a 'balance' in Billpoint, the same way as you can in PayPal? I set my Billpoint up to transfer to bank, and can't find out how to undo it. Trouble is, my CC is taking a real caning at the moment[] Asked ebay 3 days ago, so far all I got is a mail telling me I'll be answered in 24 hrs!
