  1. Cool Deal. We here in the States actually do Autocross and Track events every Sunday. Here's a pic or two - I love it. Most of my friends are involved.
  2. My IS300 Lexus TRD prep at Watkins Glen. Placed 6th out of 160 cars that day. During the week the decals come off and I use it as my daily driver.
  3. Interesting answers ---I can't believe no one said the Porsche 956 body. By far out of the 30 or so cars I have restored this is the most difficult part for me to find to date. Only person I know that has one not painted that ALMOST sold me one is MRLEXAN lol but he hasn't caved in yet. I beg him every 4 months or so RLOL. Also the Gold Supershot rims and body are pretty tuff - def worth a good penny! And of course the SRB/Super Champ front bumper b-GOOD AS GOLD!! Don't forget the 959 axles - I am hared pressed to let those go too. By the way if anyone has a 956 body to sell please let me know-I have been looking for 4 yrs now - no luck and I need two to finish my last 2 cars.(Rothams 956 and Newmans 956)
  4. The motor is a Peak Performance mod motor - usually see them in Pink, Orange, Black and Green. www.peakmotors.com The chassis is an Associated RC10 chassis - the one after their GOLD chassis-both car and truck use similiar chassis.
  5. If you want to go fast really fast - a brushless setup is the only way to go. Definitely a bit more money but the difference isn't even close. My electric (brushless) setup is just as fast as the gas cars at the track! Check it out. For ease of purchase a Novak motor/esc combo would do you just fine. Speeds over 50 MPH are easily obtained -switch to a 3 cell Li-Po battery pack and you will push the 70 MPH mark before you know what has happened. Just remember at those speeds aerodynamics do play a role, spoilers and lips make a huge difference! Good Luck -
  6. Well it's my quarterly plea at getting someone to sell me a Porsche 956 body. I just need a new clear body - I have decals. Also I am looking for a Tom's Toyota 85C body and decals. Please please hear me I am begging. Please contact me if you have one. pmorrisey@accountantsinc.com
  7. Just want to say sorry for the "ON DRUGS" comment - slang thing we use here in NY - no offense like that meant. My bad. Actually picked up Brat kit WITH chrome chassis today for $119 US. So I wasn't that far off............. Pete
  8. How much did Jason want for his chassis? Another tamiyaclub member Simon- is trying to tell me he wants $180 GPB for one ---I think he is on crazy drugs! Please let me know if I am off base.
  9. These parts are available on Ebay - the drive shafts are tuff to find and expensive(usually $10-$25 each). If you can't find any let me know, I have most of the 959 parts new in the bags in my garage. I am sure I have drive shafts. Because the car is 1/12 the shafts are smaller than most of the others made for other cars, I don't think the others will fit.
  10. Here in NY you would wind up with a 9mm in your brain if you broke my window. That stuff doesn't fly - nor is it funny. Those kids are lucky your a nice guy - especially trying to break-in and enter, thats grounds for termination.
  11. I had a crazy idea. Why not hook up the 4th channel of the radio to the rear steering separately. This would give total control. Both sticks on the radio would control left and right - front and rear separate. Could mount the second servo next to the current steering servo. Ultimate in on-road stunts and off-road control.
  12. If you use a high nitro content fuel it will strip it right off. I use 30% and it comes right off. 10% WILL NOT WORK well at all! Good luck it takes patience!
  13. Mine wasn't threaded either - also when I went to put in the pin to lock the diff ,one wasn't threaded - I broke it off in the housing, oh well locked for life now, thank goodness it was the rear one.
  14. Yes for an R/C High Lift - switches-batterybox - precut/soldered/shrink wrapped high intensity LED's -- the Tamiya Multi function Unit when it comes out is going to be in excess of $240US, I thought $115 for the full light set wasn't that bad, all professionally setup.
