  2. Ok put a little black striping on the red HB now so what you think...looks a little bit meaner looking to me...
  3. COOL!! I think i will have to get one of these since i got a new LB kit and don't want to beat on it with the new body on it I could use the hard body for easy use and go crazy with the lexan one.
  4. Hi guy's everyone says the shocks leak on these things but what i would like to know is what part of the shock is leaking is it around the shock shaft or where the plastic screws into the shock body? Reason why i am asking because i have a new kit and have to put it together and i may modifiy the shocks with a O ring if they are leaking from the shaft part. THANKS
  5. Get a FAV i love mine you won't be disapointed and i bet you will get more into tamiyas once you build the FAV!!! O also if anyone can answer why don't my avitar show that i loaded up 2 days ago? THANKS

  8. Look here i am thinking GULF stickers? http://www.rccarstickers.com/#/race1/4546732959
  9. Hi guy's have a sandscorcher headed my way i am going to use traxxas blue seal bearings and was wondering what you guy's use to seal the gear box halfs together ? will a water proof vynal caulk work or a urathane type ...i hear silicone is not good because it has acids in it? What wieght oil works best in the shocks on this thing? Any tips for the biuld will be great!! THANKS Shenlonco
  10. O come on you guy's are just all jelous of the red beauty!!
  11. But the robinson racing 32 P i think mesh smoothly as i have one in my holiday buggy and it sounds silky smooth i compaired the teeth to the traxxas 32P pinons and the traxxas ones are not the same also if you roll a traxxas pinion around a hornet gear with your fingers it's not smooth it's choppy not meshing properly.
  12. Thanks now i need to get me some steel RR pinions for my two cc-01's!!
  13. My lunch box just came in the mail today!! started putting her together already.... have to wait for ball bearings to land here!!! I had one when i was little so i decided to get and build one again long live the lunch box!!
  14. that's what i thought until i put a new stock tamiya pinion on 100% smoother ...i suggest trying the stock 15 tooth tamiya pinion that comes with your FAV and then swap it out for the traxxas that's the only way you will notice....I surly did on my FAV!!
  15. I would mark the holes into the duratrax bumper and drill them out and screw it right on top of the stock bumper.... i think you will need to trim the rear of the bumper off there is a raised part for hinge pins to go threw...then do what i said...take off the front on your HB the 4 screws that hold the front on uner the chassis and trace out the holes on the new bumper and then just put it on right over the old one.... may want to use a hair longer screws
  16. Hate to say it but with the batteries of today you can get like 4 times the run time of nitro RC's these days with one battery pack!
  17. Hi thanks do you know if the bottom type is for like the cc-01 trucks? THANKS

  20. COOL!! See the dirt they raced in back then that's real off road not like todays off road tracks clay so hard it's like cement!!! I like the tracks of years ago down and dirty real dirt racing!!
  21. Thanks for the pointers guy's. Do you guy's spray clear coat over the stickers you put on thick enough so they don't have edges or do you just put the stickers on last? I know with slot car bodies i cleared over the stickers.... but on a rc i am afraid the paint will get so thick it will just flake off? THANKS
  22. Yea just needs a tamiya 540 though it's a snail with that 380!
  23. Hi guy's a while back i got some 32pitch traxxas pinion gears to try in my Hornet and FAV i thought when i had it in my hornet it was just how loud it's gear box was but when i tried one in my FAV it was also noisy in the gear box when me and my brother in law gave it a test run so we tried the stock tamiya Kit pinion gear in it and now its as smooth as butter!!! I also put the tamiya stock pinion in my hornet also and the same thing smooth as butter.... So do NOT use traxxas 32 Pitch pinions they do not mesh properly and run very noisy!! Now the BIG ? do the 32 Pitch robinson racing pinions that they say work with tamiya realy work or are they noisy like the traxxas so called 32P gears?
