NICE HORNET!! And Rosey a draq race hugh.... don't under estamate a hornet with the same motor as your hot shot you may be prepaired to get stung!! May even beat it with the stock 540 the hornet comes with!

Actually just looked at my duratrax desert truck bumper and it looks like it would be a perfect and easy bumper to fit the holiday buggy!! See photo and also see bumper photo here at tower hobbies. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXZMZ1&P=Z

I was thinking the same thing also a larger front bumper that would fit.

Hi guy's what paint works best to paint all the plastic on a fast attack re release? want something durable that won't scratch off easy. I was thinking of using krylon fusion that is specaily made for plastics? What do you guy's use that works best? THANKS

Hi also try switching your radios throttle channel switch in the oposit position it is now and give that a try....Other than that maybe you can post a photo showing the reciever and esc all hooked up maybe you have some wires not in the plug in the correct position.
-
Hi i just looked at what components you have you should simply put servo in channel one and esc in channel 2 then plug in rc battery on esc with radio on and set as ESC's instructions and program the ESC to work with your radio. There should be no problem doing this with your stuff you have listed.
-
Hi guy's i am thinking of getting the Fast Attack But was wondering how durable it is ? Could you actually take it off road and do some jumps and stuff or is it something you have to baby and mostly look at? any problem areas with it? THANKS Shen

Hi plug the ESC's red plug into the battery slot in your reciever. Does your receiver have more than two plug spots in it? Usally have 3 slots Battery channel 1 channel 2

WOW what a FUN buggy to drive now with the 380 it was just so slow you could not get a feel for just how nice this chassis works . I think my new hornet with the same motor is faster because i weighed them and the hornet minus battery is 990grams and the HB is like amost 1300grams. Now i am thinking of getting some oil shocks for my HB what ones work with this buggy and are not to much $$. THANKS

Holiday Buggy 2010 motor upgrade?...
shenlonco replied to Neo Tamiya's topic in Re-Release Discussions
Hi i just finished my holiday buggy and put a stock 540 motor in it and it's much FUN to drive now with the 380 it was to much of a slug!!! yours should be a hair faster with the J motor also. I used a 17 tooth robinson racing and on my hornit a 18 tooth traxxas I think traxxas pinions are better they are wider and hit more of the spur gear....Get a traxxas E-max 17 Tooth 32 pitch pinon it will be good. Here is mine. -
Yea thanks guy's I just found out it was a normal 540!! shop on E-bay has a fulse add !!! Anyhow i looked on e-bay and those Johnson motors go for like $20.00 shipped so for like $3.00 more bucks you can get a tamiya black cansport tuned motor shipped to your door so i purchased one of those just in case the 540 is to slow for me.... Can't test it today or for a few days as here in NJ we are going to get blasted with bad weather!
-
Hi guy's i just got this off of e-bay listed and part # for a J johnson 540 motor is this one...how do you tell it looks 100% the same as my new hornets motor but it has stamped DP in the sticker where as my hornet motor has 2 other letters or is this just the persions name who put the sticker on that day? Thanks Shen

Looking like a beauty!!!

Hi guy's i know they say robinson racing 32P work but will any 32P like the traxxas ones here work with the hornet and holiday buggy? http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=LXXF63&P=7 THANKS

That's great. I just recently got a hornet re release actually less than a week ago!! put it together and reminded me when i was a kid and when i floored it it put a BIG smile on my face just as i remembered it did when i was a kid. Here it is. -
Yea my roof got a hair crack in it just from pushing on it to push the body on. anything you can do to make these areas stronger? maybe put another thin layer of styrine plastic sheet under the roof with that model solvent that bonds plastics together?
-
Do you mean the front fenders? and the roof ware does it break could i reinforce it with goop glue? I just ordered a tamiya 540 J motor will these cause major damage to the body at the speed it will go? THANKS
