  2. i think i cracked it the dimples on the tamiya shell are wrong for the tb. if i pull the posts back both front and rear line up. so i guess i drilled wrong. willy chang i just ordered some carbon fibre sheet at 2.6mm thick guess i'll try and make my version of a tb evo
  3. you wouldt know the thickness of the carbon evo3 damper stays would you?
  4. thanks for the replys my hinge pin spacers are on the ends meaning that its has the shortest wheelbase possible. every things in the right place i checked then manual. i cut the arches at the lines and drilled the posts on the dimples, but i think i should not of drilled them on the dimples. think im going to cut down my posts so my new shell sits on the floor then mark out the holes
  5. my tamiya kit shell does not seem to fit the chassis. the rear wheels are not central in the rear arch, it sits too far back. its the same for the hpi shell i just brought. does anyone else with a tb have this problem?
  6. thanks for the replys! i had a look at the venoms, i thought all the non kit motors were expensive anyway i just brought a venom 15 double for my new tb02 do any of you guys know where i could find a bit more about gearing? i googled it and so far i have found that i have to gear it high for on road and low for off road thanks guys

  10. TB it is then, i would get an evo but at the price its going for its a bit expensive to pay for one time. im not planing on getting all the alloy parts i want to keep as much plastic as i can with the carbon decks. also i cant find the TB02R any were. the evo 5 is around £399 well over my £100 budgit oh well thanks for the advice
  11. which one to get theres only a £6 difference between the two tamiya website does not offer much info on the cars basicly i want a car that would last me, i would like to upgrade it with carbonfiber decks etc etc. both of these chassis can be fitted with carbon decks and alloy parts. so what are the pros and cons of each chassis? thanks for your input
  12. cool i'll have a look into that the part i hotglued was the wheel bearings, they were wobbleing on the shaft
  13. i been doing some browsing i think i'll go for a TB for now just need to find out how much a second hand TT goes for
  14. i only got a crappy phone cam i'll try my best to discribe on the front wishbones theres a sort of ball pivot for the front hub so it can move up and down with the suspension and left and right with the steering. its a **** design hmmm 2 sets of rear ajustable wishbones and 2 sets of turnbuckles, bin the part of the wishbone that connects to the hub and stick in a turnbucle so its looks like what they use on the high end chassis. but then theres nowere to attach the shock to the lower arm do the lower wishbones from the TB fit the TT?
  15. whats the M0 chassis like? is it any good?. i have a funny feeling im going to get one for my birthday seen it for £90 displayed in lhs window looks like its already built and painted.
  16. ok i fixed play at the wheels i hot glued the bareings on to the shaft for the pivot i was thinking of pushing a bearing insted of the ball. but then it wont pivot my cars a runner there must be something, what do the racers do?
  17. do they use the same front hub as the tt the ball in a hole thing has lots of play
  18. that was my very first upgrade cost me 20squid lol most of the serious play is at the front what front suspension parts from other models fit the tt? im thing drilling though the the wishbones were they fit into the chassis
  19. thats some good work what did you use to weld with?
  20. dont know if this has been posted before. the search function comes back with an error how did you guys fix the play in the wheels and the arms?? i replaced the front gearbox cover to an alu one and it has loads of play in the fromt arms. im looking for any ideas to getting rid of this play ps i need something to do with my rc its collecting dust because of falty esc
  21. while we talking about bodyshells this shell i brought has a dent and tiny cracks around the shell, only showed up when i painted it how do you guys buy your shells with out the cracks?
  22. well i have been busy with uni
  23. ok i now have 6 holes on the front of the shell good news is that it now fits so im happy thanks for the replys
  24. thats how i had it set up. i put the esc next to the motor and the reciver on top of the steering servo. i put the controler at one end of the room steering to the left and put my car at the other end. moved the esc and reciver around to see if i can get a better reception. where i have reception the servo starts crackeling. but no joy im still haveing problems with the radio range im thinking its the receiver thats packed up i have less range then yesterday. i had excelent range before my esc died
  25. the anttena has not been touched the motor wires run over the receiver could this be the problem? i'll rearange evey thing and see what happens
