  1. the car seems a lot quicker and a bit more noiser tho i do have another problem.when the car gets about 10-15 feet away from the controler it stops and the steering has a bit of a fit. it wont go backwards or fowards but i can control the steering. every things fine when its 5feet away
  2. hey wrc thanks for all the help out of the 2 rc site i visit tamiyaclub is where i got the most help i just read the instructions and it does state that the power supply is in the reciver plug. all good i got a working rc now...time to look for a 12t motor
  3. thanks Wrc action i should of checked back before i orderd an mronics rv11 because it was a good deal it was actully cheeper then the rv15 that was at my lhs. ok so if they are **** hopefully it craps out while its under warranty. i now have another problem i just got my new esc in the post and it has not got a power supply for the receiver. i had a battry holder thing that came with my receiver but i cant find it and i dont really want to be buying more batterys is there a way to get a supply from the 7.2v battry? the holder held 4 AA batterys so that means the reciver (acoms AR-2/27) needs 4.8v what would i need to get a power supply off the battery? it has been 3 weeks with no working rc and i have charged my batterys ready for my new esc im all ready to turn my room upside down looking for that batt holder!!!
  4. so my esc has been fryed i did notice that it does get hot to the toutch but i would of thought the thermal cut out would of kicked in oh well i was going to upgrade to brushless if they ever come down in price what do you think about motronics viper rv15 a lhs is selling them for £36
  5. i dont really want to buy another motor as this ones just a few months old and it is quick. so i might just keep useing it and buy another later on. but while we still on the question of motors if i do decide to change the armurture would any arm go in or does each can have a different arm? a tag on the arm in my fantom says epic 27 (i know the motor is an epic built by fantom) only asking because i have found a 19t epic arm for £22 which is £13 cheeper then the motor! i know its not very economical but its good to know these things.
  6. i have a stock 27T fantom team edition 421 motor and as am replaceing my esc, i was wondering if it is possible to change the amature to one with less turns?. as im haveing to change my esc possibly one that can handle lower turns theres no point in running a stock 27T if its any help the endbell of the motor looks like this also have anyone heard of fantom raceing? thanks for looking guys
  7. thanks for the reply i just reset the esc and it worked for about 5-10mins at whats seems to half power then stopped working reading the instuctions it seems the themal cut out has come on its quite hot outside esc temp is around 40-50c, motor is about 60c cant be the thermal cutout can it? how can you tell if the esc is faulty? oh before i forget the esc does not beep anymore it used to beep when i turn the car on before i turn on the control and when accelarating
  8. as title i have a TT-01 with TEU-101BK and a fantom team editon 421 stock 27 moter. last time i used it it was working fine 2 weeks later(today) i take it out and it won't move steering works, i tryed swapping the chanel plugs round so that ch2 on the control works ch1 on the car. both ch on the controler work could this be the TEU-101BK? if so has anybody got any recommendations for a good cheep ECU? say about the £20-30 thanks for helping guys, its **** haveing good wether and an RC that dont work!
  9. i could elongate the holes but how would i stick the lexan on and what about the paint finnish?? thinking about it i think im jus going to try my best to make the best i can out of this shell it's only going replace my focus shell which is falling to bits. this ones garanteed to be writen off in a few months in the hands of a noob drifter
  10. can you get ajusable ones for a tt01? or does anyone know a good way of modding one i need to move my front posts back about 2-3mm as i drilled the mount holes in the wrong place[:I]
  11. i'v got that radio dropped it a few times, once down the stairs and it still works
  12. i seen them ready cut and painted shells too expensive and you dont have the coice of what shell or color so whos got tips on how to get the post holes spot on???
  13. that happens to me too it's gone out of range. just extend the arial for light scratches you can use T-cut (cutting paste that is used on motorcar paint after painting it has fine grit in it) for deeper ones 800grit sandpaper (Schuurpapier). the cutting paste.
  14. the battry side of the TT-01 is heavy on the battry side so haveing the tamiya mount would even the chassis out dont you think?
  15. thanks for the reply guys the score tip really works but that dont really matter since i fudged it up by drilling the post holes 2-3mm too forward[!] so it's been a crappy week for my R/C, first i mess up the posts then some kid flips it off a curb snapped the front gearbox houseing where the suspension screews on. i managed to fix it with a bit of fiberglass then i hit a car tire which not only what i fixed but broke the other side aswell. all this after i spent £70 on shell, paints, motor and a battery[] im thinking off relocating the posts any ideas??[]
  16. .....how do you guys do it??? im on my second shell which i dont want to mess up[:I]
  17. i gots a bit of fiberglass and a tin of resin leftover from when i was makeing a sub box for my car which i need to use up, was thinking might aswell make a chassis out of it and use tamiya running gear any one got any tips on what gearbox to use was lookin at my TT-01 gearbox which is no good as half the gearbox enclosr is on the chassis so thats going to be hard to fabricate all ideas and comments good or bad welcome[8D]
  18. you want 53662 there specific for the TT and the nitro TT
  19. i love my TT-01 i use it for drifting soooooo much fun!!!, i have not had any problems with the pins falling out yet (touch wood) my only problem with this car is the crappy design of the steering arms and the wheel hubs theres so much play. Is there any way to eleiminate this play?? i think it would be soo much better. regarding the TT-01 haveing no ajustments out the box i think because its ment to be a beginers car as you master the controls you hop up after you hopped up till you cant hop up no more it should be close to a better tamiya car though it would be miles better if they used the TRF / TA04 (seems like this is exotic tamiya machinary)with no ajustments and plasic parts for the same price as the TT-01 then hop up from there what you guys have said bout the ball diffs have put me right off from buying a set
  20. is there a how to guide on how to cut out the body and how to remove scratches??? i just i made a mess of mine[:I]
  21. naaa i dont regret it now that i had fun building and playing with it but its not fun chargeing batterys[|)]
