Thanks I'll have a look at your recommendations. I thought the sidewinder was sensored as it has three wires and I been looking at pictures for three wire setups thinking they were sensored.

My son is 5 his tt has my 15t, it's his first proper rc so no experience. the brushless is going in my tb so I can bash with him. sorry, I was half alseep when I posted.

My little boy found my rc cars while exploring and wanted to play. So I stripped the electrics from my tb02/evo 3,brought radio gear and wheels and put them in my tt01. cut a long story short I need a motor and esc so why not go brushless? The brushless system in question is castle sidewinder I'm unsure of what kv/turn motor to get. It had a 15t motor which in the tt I feel I want more power. Which one should I go for, 7700kv 6900 or 5700kv? I manly bash with a bit of drift. I'm open to other motor/esc combos around £100 so your opinions/ recommendations are more than welcome. I just picked the sidewinder because castle was mentioned a lot in the forums before I packed my rc cars away, that and I need it pretty quick with it being summer holidays I want to get as much rc time with my son as I can. also it might end up in a M chassis, I'll be getting one for my sons birthday and if I like it I'll be getting one too.

ok get this i just received the damper stays the rear has the red but on the front one sides normal and the other side has the red hint.

if its a hard shell just sand it back flat, till you got rid of the islands and then dust it with paint so you can see if every things flat and level. this is what i do to 1:1 cars.

ok im converting my tb02 to an evo3 (nearly finished yaay) i just got mt upper deck in the post and its has a hint of red in it, my bottom deck is normal carbon colour. is there any reason why they are a different color? are there any more colors out there?

whats happened to the shop? how do get my parts now?

i have a tt-01 with a ally shaft, adjustable arms and track rods, carbon brace, full ball bearings, cva dampers and i think a few other hop ups

if you polish the shell with car polish will get if off and also protect it when you take it back out in the rain

noooo the chassis is wrong! i fitted the gearboxes to a evo3 lower deck and the shell fits like a glove! the evo suspension block mounting holes are slightly shorter then the 02 by a few mm

ok a quick update i messed up when drilling the holes (i taped the tb-02 on the carbon fiber sheet) some of the holes were slightly out. so i thought sod this time to buy a new sheet and start again. well an evo lower deck poped up on ebay cheeper then the carbon sheet...so i brought that insted along with a battery holder and suspension balls. all i need now are the damper stays and the upper deck and a few other ally bits

you can use 2k at home you just need a compressor, spay gun and a respirator brought for 20. t he booth is an aria away from were the sanding work is being done it also sucks out the fumes and paint dust so that it wont settle on the wet paint

you can try reactivating the paint using premium thinner from anywhere that sells 2k automotive paints, a few wipes and it should come off

i have a brand new mk1 subaru sti shell that need repainting i got a few blemishes. im thinking of removing the paint 1200 grit wet 'n' dry, but there would be a load of scratches left on the lexan. im would the scratches be visible when painted? i wanted to make this the best shell i have ever cut and painted edited to say i have tested on a scrap bit of lexan and some left over black cant see the scratches after the 1200grit on the 800 you can see the marks dont know what it would be like with lighter paint ...well it looks like i'll be sanding for the next 10 months!!!

i think i shall be sending my tb conversion kit to the surface finishers to get them green. i should be charging you money for making me want green bits

thank you!!! i will print that out and line it up with the holes i already have, the inaccuracies should not be a problem as i have most the holes. now all i need is my parcel of blue bits where are you blue bits! i wanted to build this thing during the bank holidays any way thanks again for the scan

scale pics of the carbon plates would help me a lot

unfortunately the evo 3 manual does not have plans for the carbon plates. but the evo 4 does, im thinking i might build an evo 4 plate and use the conversion kit and the diff boxes but if i scale the pdf up to 215% the front diff box holes line up but the evo4 is shorter. dont know what to do but to risk drilling a hole in the wrong place suposse i could slot the hole. well im still waiting for my blue bits so i can attach them to the cf plate and see where i can lose some weight (right now i have traced around the tb-02.

i know what you mean 80 does seem lot considering that you can buy untrimmed carbon plate for under 20. from the plans it seems that its a carbon plate version of the tub. thats my idea to use that plastic standoff with a hole in the middle. but im having trouble with placing the mounting holes. so far i have traced around the tub and marked the holes. trying to place the holes accurate as possible which i cant do because both the holes for the stand off are on the braces (only have 1 hole on the tub)

_miga_ yes that the conversion kit i want...well have brought for 30 just wanted to make sure i was paying a good price! any way i have a tb-02 and a plate of carbon fiber. the plan is to cut out a top and bottom deck and damper stays and with the blue parts make my edition of an evo 3...a red eyevolution WillyChang thanks mate, now i want my new blue alloy bits refinished in green. alll you need is the j tree, carbon bits and the alloy and of course the tb-02 ok now that i have ordered the blue bits and they on there way im kinda stuck on the carbon bits i need to place the screw holes for the alloy motor mount and the bit of plastic at the front that has the shaft running though it....where can i get a scale printable diagram? for anyone who wants a carbon tb-02 have a look here they have carbon bits of other tamiyas too
