I'd say go with a Double Blaze...same chassis as the Twin Det, but more aggressive looking body. You can check mine in my showroom to see what I mean. Good luck!

You're right on this, Mikey. I've got all brass CRP gears and a Sport Tuned with the fast gear ratio in one of mine and you've got to be careful not to punch it out of the box or you wind up with major donuts on your hands. It definitely teaches you to add some finesse to your driving...
