  1. I dont know, i just know id been lucky up until now. Im tracking a parcel and it says that its waiting for customs charging. So i assume im gonna get stung this time. Its coming by parcelforce, but i seem to remember him saying that they were not taking money at the door anymore? Maybe he was confused!
  2. Anyone know the procedure for collecting customs charges in the uK now? They used to collect it when they delivered the parcel, but i dont beleive it works like that anymore. Any ideas?
  3. Hi Just to answer this question, although i should think by now its been solved. The Pershing has a neutral "gear". It needs to be engaged into drive by sliding the throttle trim tab down before pulling the throttle stick back and engaging gear. If you still need the scan let me know. I have started the build again and will update my showroom tomorrow. []
  4. Yes i think there will definately be another. It would be nice if the Leopard and Gepard were re released as full option, but i think there could be an Abrams or challenger on the way. Just a guess though.
  5. My last Bike was an excellent all rounder. The Yamaha xj900 Diversion. It had all of the Yamaha luggage cases etc on it and weighed a ton. It went well too. Im not that old, 32, but still all of my joints ache from 16 years of all weather biking. Its nice to own a car now and think of a bike as a luxury and not a necessity. Rick must be the guy you are thinking of. He normally does the Tanks on the bikes.
  6. He seems remarkably calm too! Vinnie seems to be a very talented guy. The one thing i dont understand is that Paul SNR yells and moans about them getting it done and not having much time, but then sends someone home for not being tidy?! [?]
  7. Cool. I was watching Bullseye the other day and one of the prizes was a Marui big bear. I really think that the whole modelmaking/rc is on the decline. Seems that youngsters preferre either PC/games consoles or ready built models. Shame really [V]
  8. Oh yes as stated above the metal parts must be primed. It is usually best to do them before assembly, but seeing as mine will not be run that much im airbrushing it on later.
  9. Yes the barrel on the Pershing is OK. I agree that it could have been plastic. The worst barrel is the King Tiger. Its so long and heavy, that on the several i had it would drop. A guy from Hobbystores had one and complained too.I would agree that the part on the Pershing is probably that thick to support the barrel in two points.
  10. I agree Stefan , just the right mix. That water jet cutter was amazing. Id never even heard of one until i saw that. Well i must be getting old, my thoughts have gone away from sports tourers (im too tall for race style bikes!) and im really starting to want a Harley! Never thought id hear myself saying that! []
  11. No its about a Father and his sons who run Orange County Choppers. They build superb custom bikes for people.
  12. Anyone else watch American Chopper? Its most amusing and very addictive. I was never really a fan of chopper style motorcycles but now im sold!
  13. Ive had a D500 for about 6 months now and other than the shortish talk time its a great phone.Mine was free too so i cant comment on whether or not its value for money.
  14. Some hobby shops have it and if i remember correctly its about £3 a tub. As mentioned it works very well on certain paints. It works very well on flat enamels, not sure about Tamiya paints. I know it took the chrome off of an old lunchbox bumper i had.
  15. Each to their own! []
  16. I usually do it as i go along and use Aerosols for the base coat, But this time its going to be all airbrushed including the primer.Dont think im going to use the Tamiya aerosols this time either. Ive got a full unpainted crew and stowage set on the way too.It will get the usual heavily weathered finish.
  17. For those interested i am posting regular pictures and tips on building the 1/16 Pershing.Heres a link, if you are building one or thinking of buying one it may help a little. [] http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...=09112005215954
  18. Thanks. I have new bumpers now, just need a set of new wheels and tyres
  19. Looking for new or mint parts. I need the alluminium bumpers, whels and tyres and speed controller Thanks Andrew
  20. I have a spare Mounty used bodyset that is on the bay. Look in my traderomm for link Thanks
  21. Didnt someone say no VW bodies due to licensing? Also the Bruiser rear bed was modified for the Mounty wasnt it? Im assuming that the mould line that runs across the rear bed on the mounty is where the Bruiser cab was removed. Im not going to hold my breath for any 3 speeds.
  22. Also the Hornets "Anytime Baby" has been used by the uS Navy for a long time for its F-14 Tomcats
  23. YGM
  24. That picture looks like Duxfords P-47. That has that slogan on it.
  25. "shifty?!" Myself and uKstyle maybe!? I remember that day well and i agree with Chris. Great day. Everybody introducing themselves with their TC names. It was fun and most amusing. Ill never forget the amount of cars that Jason (Wldnes) bought, mostly very obscure! There is no escape from Tamiya, god knows ive tried, but there is always the little spark that starts you off again.
