  1. I got an email from the ebay shop called Hobby Japan which is loctated in Osaka South of Tokyo. They said they had been asked about the business and if they have suffered from the earthquake or the Tsunami. They are all well and as said in other posts they do business as usual. As the economy will also suffer from this desaster we should just keep on buying stuff from Japan if they do normal business like before the earthquake.
  2. I do also believe that everybody here feels for the people in Japan, me too. But since this is a Tamiya Forum it is just normal that we are talking about Tamiya in every daily case, and as there has been this massive earthquake we could talk about the factory and so on. I personally was wondering if the Japanese government would regulate the amount of electricity sent within the country would this also affect Tamiya even if their factory wasn´t damaged at all ( i don´t kow this just guessing)? I would belevieve that parts and kits are not shipped from Japan for the next few weeks or even months. What do you guys think? Would this affect the prices in any way?
  3. The TRF201 comes with the titanium coated dampers as standard. As for the other Hop Ups i can only agree although you forgot one item, the reinforced Front Lower Arms
  4. I´m sorry i have no pic of the Fluo Yellow wheels. Tamiya seems to release info about a new item much earlier than a pic or some definite spec. 54285 are the 2WD Front wheels? Which colours? I doubt that 54286 54287 are the 2WD wheels as one of these two numbers has a "Rear" in the name which would be logic for me that the number is the front one but i don´t know if 2WD or 4WD Front ones... ahh Tamiya a bit more info would be nice
  5. I thought i´d open a thread where we can talk about the releases of the month. This would include cars and parts. So i read that there are some new wheels for the DB01 to come: 54286 and 54287 Fluorescent Yellow Dish wheels. I thought these were already released with the numbers 53985 and 53986. Can anyone tell me what the difference will be to the old ones? Also Tamiya finally releases the High Traction Arms fo rthe DB01/TRF501/TRF511/TF502X cars with a softer compound so that they won´t break as easily and provide a little more grip: 54283. I am wondering why these parts are only available at etamiya and not by Stella or any other big HK seller with good quality. Has anyone got an idea?
  6. Yes 100% for sure this is the same wing. The Avante has the same wing but the side parts are different. You can also use the Racing Rear Wing Set "A" part number is 53055. This is also the same as the Egress and Astute wing.
  7. I (and i think i am not the only one in the club) would kill for such a list, i highly doubt that such alist exists. If that list would be correct and made by Tamiya it would be absolutely easy to chekc how much a model is worth. Nobody knows for example how many Egress have been made.
  8. The lucky guy is acutally me and i am a long years well known TC member I got my 2 TRF502X kits from another TC member, TeeForce, he can buy them for anyone who wants it. He even sells the on ebay now. It seems that Singapore is always the first country in the world that gets the newest Tamiya stuff. I´m gald the deal worked out fine with Tee S S, he is a top guy to deal with!
  9. Also kits with the number "8" are limited release like the DB01R 84100
  10. I am currently selling all my Egress spares on ebay but will prefer offers from TC members. I have all spares you would need to build an Egress except rear tires and Bodyset. 13. Not only that they are metric, i raced a B44 over this season and a mate raced the DB01R. I also have a Durango DEX410R and raced it for about 5 times with 2 broken parts for now with only minor impact. The B44 is a well engineered car i have to say but the downside is the quality of the parts. I already wondered when buying it that it costs about 100 Euro less than a TRF511 and now i know it is only because they use cheaper plastic and which is even more important, metal parts seem to wear MUCH faster than Tamiya ones. I had to change the AE Unviversal shafts twice as often as my friend on the DB01R and we raced the same class, same times.... So i think the best car is the upcoming TRF502X with the major technique of the B44 BUT with Tamiya quality. Seems unbeatable in my opinion, not in price but in performance and reliabilty.
  14. I can only repeat what Mouton said. Having an exposed pinion and spur is absolutely no problem when racing on loose dirt. I race on my track since 12 years and NEVER had mud or stones gotten in the drivetrain. It is absolutely unlikely that debris get as far into the Chassi to destroy the spur or pinion if you have a body on your car. And who races without body, not many i assume....
  15. I have a TGR and like it. I also have a NIB one with the rare black motor and TM-2 Muffler and manifold. Hop Ups are the Universal Shafts, Ball Diffs and 2 speed pinion gears as well as an aluminium brake arm from the TGX. I paid about 500 Euro for mine (including the motor, muffler and manifold). If you have anymore questions please ask. Oh and i have a Toyota GT one body and a Esso Ultron Supra body i want to sell. Give me a shout if you´re interested.
