So then, the $100 question

Do we want to do it again sometime ???
-
Cheers for coming guys, had a good day.
Righto anybody want to lay claim to a small black battery holder with a pp9 in it?
Was found after everybody had left.
PM me and i'll pop it in the post.
-
just woundered, will we have access to mains for chargers etc, i presume there are toilets for our use too.
Oh yus

-
Good number for a first turn out

I'll be over there from 10 ish, so see you all when you arrive.
-
Goodo

The more we can get the better the chance i have of making this a regular thing.
-
thanks for the postcode, will help me out no end, im planning on a few friends coming along too.
Excellent , more the merrier

-
yeh postcode would be good tomtom takes gets me there, anyone else without could meet somewhere and go in convoy.
SK17 9QB should bring you with in 10 yds of the place
-
I pass Clumber on my way to Skegness !!!!!!!!
If its a sunday and i'm over that way then count me in !!
-
Sorry i ain't been around to confirm this, i had Laptop - hard drive - hammer problems.
Yup its still on, the doors will open at 10-ish.
( oo and i have just found an excellent place to run the off roaders just a short walk up the road

-
Seeing as i pass within 5 mins of clumber every two weeks i really should make the effort to stop and say hi when there is a meet.
Maybe next time

-
how much do you want for the use of the venue and will there be a snack bar for us with kids etc. do you know off many people from over your way that may attend.
There is a bar with the usual crisps and chocolate type stuff, if enough people show an interest i could good get the "hot snack lass" to pop over and fire up the kitchen.
Speaking of kids, did i mention that there i a childrens playground over the other side of the car park ?

Regarding cost, the venue free , costs depends on how much you and your kids can eat and drink

-
shame you cant make it, but maybe this might turn into a regular thing if all goes well.
There is no reason why i couldn't, just down to who is interested really. The venue is going nowhere

I'll sort the post code out later today, its just down the road from here so probably different to mine.
To give you some idea its Sterndale Moor, Buxton. Sk17

Righto, how does Sunday October the 5th sound?
-
Well i guess its going to be a runwhatyabrung type affair, can't see much serious racing taking place

Although i'm sure we could mark out a track with some rope or something.
I'm really more used to organising days out for slightly larger vehicles so any suggestions/request?
-
Sorry to hear that Si.
If nobody else has a problem with Saturdays i'll see what i can do.
The only problem i have is the fact i work Friday nights and don't get back till 6am
(guess i could be ill
) -
Well after a heated and time consuming debate last night we have had the official go a head for this.
So I'm thinking a sunday morning around 10ish.
Any date people CAN'T do??
-
so warmth, a bar and food, im in for sure. do they not mind you running rc cars around the place.
There used to be a local i.e village Rc car club held there, but once they realised all the cheap cars ran on the same frequency it fizzled out

So nope, its not a problem, plus we'll have the place to ourselves anyway.
-
Been away from the RC scene for a while, back now so....
I have use of a large wooden floored dance room, with bar

Anybody fancy a nice dry indoor meet??
There is a large tarmac car park for the nitro stuff and a field if you fancy having a go at flying something (brave in this weather)
I can sort out bar snack (chips and the-like) if wanted, theres a pool table and 2 snooker tables for the "keeping the kids happy" element and a juke box

Its near Buxton (about 40 mins south of Stockport)
-
Why a seperate ladies race??? my other half would be upset having to wait for that, she will be joining us in the races for Twin Det and wild willy's etc.
You didn't see the my missus with the wayward Pumkin last time did you [:$]
I'll be going nowhere near the track when she's driving [
] -
Maybe so but my way has a "higher entertainment value" [
] -
Not really sure my missus would be up for running around a track, but i can allways ask her [
] -
Can I suggest a SRB/3-Speed race against my 4yr old driving a Clod [
] (and I get salvage rights ) -
The only thing thats need better organisation is the fact that the pub opens to late
AND the fact that the carpark is taken up with £200 Transit vans [:@]
I kinda liked the unorganised free for all of the last meet, as for name/handle tags, can mine say "Insert beer here"
-
PLEASE becarefull out there lads. A friend of mine put his Gixer1000 it to a wall on Saturday. Broke his neck and was pronounced dead at the scene. [
]Was only 37, left behind wife and to kids, aged 2 and 4.
Take care all

Righto chap, i've had the go ahead with this if we want to make it a regular thing.
I would reply to each point made individually but there is no point because i have had exactly the same thoughts
I would like to make use of the carpark more even to the point where i might be able to get it swept clear of all the stones.
There is talk of making it "more club official" basically that just means we can get a few staff in to make brews and food and the such like.
I'll leave it at that for now, and wait for any more comments/ requests/ or critisms
