  1. Cool thanks a bunch Shodog...[]
  2. Wasn't essentially what they did the the Blackfoot series trucks??? Blackfoot -> King Blackfoot -> Super Blackfoot. So why not with the SS.v2?
  3. The metal top seems hard to come by. I did find a RTR and it appears to be the same thing. Whats the difference between the Metal top kit and the ready to run, outside of it being preassembled? John
  4. I both agree and disagree with you Netsmith[:I] Yes, I would love to see new metal cars from Japan. I would actually consider purchasing one. However, why not incorporate the old VW buggy body shells with the newer technology. Hey I am as sentimental as the next guy on this forum when it comes to the oldies, but why not incorporate an old design with new technology. Possibly an SS.v2, with current technology. How about an ESC, how about 4WD SS. Sorry ShoDog[]. One thing that I have noticed is that Tamiya tries to capture the military enthusiast as well as the R/C enthusiast (i.e. tanks, XR311, Hummer and Kublewagon). Why not do a Volkswagen Type 82E. You don't much more of a cross section of enthusiasts than this IMHO.
  5. I've been reading some of the previous posts about Tamiya re-releasing some of their older models and was wondering if anyone from Tamiya actually 1. Visits this board? and 2 What would you all think about bombarding Tamiya with requests to bring back some of the old buggies? I frequent www.hyperscale.com and know that manufacturers and magazine publisher visit that site quite frequently. Why not? I mean look at what Tamiya has re-released the last couple of years. XR311 Wild Willys Why not a new SS, RR or Ranger? What do you all think?[]

  7. You know come to think of it. I don't think that I've even seen an Original Hi-Lux go for this price. IIRC it went for around $1750...
  8. you paint complex(meaning two or more colors) designs? I have got a King Cab and a Falcon that requires multiple paint colors? By the way, nice job Camaro SS[8D] John
  9. For that amount of $$$ he could have a 1:1 scale 1985 Bruiser...[:0]
  10. Good question, mine never did. []
  11. I've seen this truck somewhere before. I think I saw it at Toys 'r Us. It was pretty detailed and the only reason why I saw it was because my son wanted one. They also have a Kubelwagon this size also. Very detailed for a toy...
  12. Hi Theo: No can't that I am. I'd one before I opened my eyes to Tamiya. Ever since then, its been no looking back. take care. John
  13. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1783644675[8D] I had one that was tied to a string and then to a nail. The nail was nailed in the middle of the street and car went 'round and 'round. Pretty quickly too IIRC.[]
  14. I see your point. Yes, the SS that I purchased a few weeks ago had a MB body that looked like someone sat on it. The front pilars where all but about smashed. Now someone had to really try and crush this because these SS,MB and BB body shells are pretty sturdy.[!] Luckily I can restore and refubish this so no big deal there. In fact I kinda like the challenge.[] Sorry that you had bad luck with this gent...[] John
  15. Am I missing something. It looks like everything is accounted for based on the description. The description matches the picture...[?]
  16. Since this is what model number 150, I was wondering if any of the owners of the Mitsubishi Pajero Metaltop care to comment on how the kit behaves in terms of handling over grassy, dirt terrains? Just curious. John[]
  17. Not that odd at all. Still sold for some high $$$$
  18. Personally I'd rather have the Sand Rover. I've got the Blackfoot and to me one Ford F-150 is enough[]. I am actually a Dodge Man, so its killing me to own the Blackfoot..
  19. What would you find the more desirable of the two? Sand Rover Holiday Buggy Theo I think I already know your choice[] John
  20. Hello all: I am close to painting my SS body shell. I'am wanting to use the Yellow and Red combination. Does anyone know of a good paint to use and the exact color for both the yellow and red. The tamiya paints that my local hobby shop carries are only for Military, but I am looking for something glossy with a durable finish....[8D] John
  21. Whats that all about then?, this was just on this morning. Unbelievable...
  22. Wonder why this is still so low. Could it be shipping and handling? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1782849088
  23. LOL hey now I don't think we wanted to know about the humidity around the bed[:I][][]
  24. Hi NetsmithUK. I have to overall agree with you. Only time will tell. But I can see some of the other standpoint. Possibly a kid just out to reak havoc on the some auctions was my initial gut feeling...
