  3. Its seems as if there is a recurring theme. Put the two words Sand Scorcher in front of any auction and watch it sky rocket. I am glad that not everyone knows about the compatibility among some of the parts. J3

  10. that makes sense. Thanks for heads-up.
  11. Has anyone ever used brake fluid to strip paint from a NON-Lexan body? If so, has anyone ever used it on clear plastic(ie the windshield)? The reason why I am asking is because I received my SS Body from Canada and upon further inspection, it paint appears to have been applied with a paint brush (Ouch). The only good thing about this is the under the paint, the body is flawless and the paint seems to peel away in most instances. However, the windshield appears to have been epoxied in place. I can not think of any way to separate the windshield from the body without causing harm to the windshield or body. Any help would be appreciated. John
  12. Why would anyone do this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=1777526142 when they could get one here http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti00...=1&I=LXGB21&P=7. Hmmm

  17. Hello all: I purchased a Bear Hawk on Ebay about a month ago and I am getting ready to run this. While testing to see if everything work, I noticed that the gears within the gear box are excessively loud. I believe that it the same gear box as my Blitzer Beetle which is as quiet as a mouse. What's causing these gears chatter like this and what can I do to stop the chattering Any help is appreciated. This will be my sons runner . P.S. There appears to be ample lubricant on the gears themselves. John

  21. Well, I wonder if anyone has thought to a reproduction of these tires. For instance, I see reproductions of the Rough rider rear tires on ebay all the time for <$10 USD. Why not these? John

  23. I have had mixed dealings. * brought a pajero for $75 back in Jan. It look like it was sanded with 30 grit sand paper. Oh well, live and learn. * Brought a falcon under the pretense of Tamiya 1941 Ford and it was in suprisingly good shape for $29 found a Falcon body set in Japan for on $20. Once I get this it will almost new. JOhn
