They're made of black plastic, so the grub screw at the bottom doesn't stand overtightening but they're good for a shelf queen.

I like what they've done with the car. It's not a bad idea to purchase and vintage body set and apply it to a new chassis. It looks like that's what they did here.

Hmm good idea about ratings. My top ten are as follows.
1. Holiday Buggy - My first tamiya - Great car
2. Sand Scorcher - Love that yellow/red scheme
3. Blitzer Beetle - Nice quiet smooth operator/fun to drive
4. Black Foot - First Tamiya Monster Truck and it just looks mean
5. Grasshopper I - For its simplicity and ruggedness
6. Subuaru Brat - I've always liked the Brat in 1:1 scale
7. King Cab - Whole lotta fun to drive, even though it has a lexan body
8. 1983 Vintage Pajero - Lots of detail and lots of detail
9. Isuzu Mu - Haven't driven it yet, but it looks like a winner
10. Hi-Lux - Yeah right, maybe when I win the lottery..... Its the only 3 Speed that looks appealing to me.id="blue">
Basically here's my list. I have had all of these at one point in my life with the exception of the Toyota Hi-Lux. Hopefully I'll have all of these in my collection

I am getting ready to assemble my SS after a somewhat lengthy rebuild. My question is this. I have a front body post but its missing a tab where the body pin sets. Are there any suitable replacements for these posts. I really don't want to pay Ebay prices. Any suggestions?

Thanks for the insight. I can never keep these guys straight in my head. But, I thought that the Kubelwagen was 4WD, no?

I think they should stick with the Military theme. They can put out an 4WD Volkswagen Type 82E, use the XC chassis with the Blitzer Beetle shell and WW tires and wheels. I just love this car...

I am in the middle of building the Isuzu MU Low-down. I am quite impressed with the XC chassis as it build pretty much like the full scale prototype. The body shell detailing, you just can beat it. I would even go so far as to say, IMHO that this may be as collectable as some of the cars such as SS and Hi-Lux.

I've noticed that there are metal pins that hold the SS rear suspension together via set set screws. Can anyone tell what size these pins are. I am missing one of them.

One question for your.
When you are referring to a panel truck, think of the Ford Excursion without the windows, right? If the King Blackfoot does not have the step-side bumper, you could use the bed and with some brass rod, mold the basic design around the length and height of the truck. After you get the brass rod in place, use stryene.

I just purchased the Sand Scorcher Exhaust. I can't wait to see how it turns out. I plan on completing a review for Tamiya Club upon receipt and inspection.

I made up a production schedule for certain items but demand will most likely change it. I have a number of requests for lenses so I will be rescheduling other items that no one has asked for yet so I can do ALL the lenses. If you are interested in something else, please let me know.
A lot of folks are asking for the replica 'chrome' parts to be prepainted with the Alclad II chrome paint. I've ordered some for testing and will let you know the results. I am also considering having them chrome plated but I want to try the paint first.

This is actually an airplane that I've piloted, the J3 Cub. I also have a Carl Goldberg .60 size model of this aircraft as well. Before kids, I used to fly this thing just about every week. Now I am doing good to fly it once a year....

Basically, I'll be happy to finish off my Sand Scorcher. I'd like a Holiday Buggy in a couple of years. That was my first Tamiya R/C car. I may thin the herd out. I'll probably be putting my Black foot up for sale or giving it to my youngest son once turns 4 or 5. My Grasshopper will be given back to my brother. He's a bit older and won't thrash it.

Here's something scary. My father had the aurora race track. I vividly remember it. I must have been around 4 yrs old. I remember seeing the blue mustang along with a yellow one. Too bad, he no longer has it...
