I think he is refering to Jay Hasley(spelling?) I could put up some fliers at the LHS if they'll let me. I often wonder if any of the people I know and talk to in publc are in the closet rc car buffs?

did u pay as much for the decals as u did for the car? [

Im 29 and have been in the hobby on and off since 1985. I know from the past, I can never get out of this hobby, im hookup. Its my Crack!

I think that all tamiya needs to do is see how the current re-re are selling and take into account what is said in their emails and whats on the net to get a idea of how or if we are suggesting "good" re-res. I know from what Ive seen, the re-res are ALL sell good. I know I have one of each so far.[

I bought a new grasshopper and hornet re-re from rocousa.com for 74 and 90. So include inflation, I think the new kits are a steal. I have all the re-re so far. Keep em coming.
-
I just got mine today. There prices rule. 75 for grasshopper and 90 for hornet. They stock some pre 58300 numbers. Just thought Id let ya all know.

Hay, count me in. I live in Royal Oak(near Detroit). While I dont have much in the lines of vintage tamiya, I have a lot of newer ones. Im looking for a tamiya only event or just some cool places to bash.

And I have an original. Got it on ebay for $40.00 !!!!

I just put up my losi rally (brand new) on ebay. Im using the money to buy a Grasshopper and Hornet. I live in the states(michigan) and I found that rocousa.com had them in stock.
Anyways, I now have the Lunchbox and the honet and grasshopper on the way. I so far have sold my tc3 and B4 to make way for the re-releases. yes, I will be buying at least one of each of the re-re. I was in my backyard yesterday sitting in a chair driving my Lunchbox. I just never had that much fun with any other cars. Its funny, the b4 and tc3 handle so good. So good its boring. I really enjoy the way the old tamiyas handle. Very bouncy and lots of front ends off the ground. I really hope they bring the fox back. I loved the way it handled. There is just something about them.... God I love Tamiyas!!! keep the re-res coming. Yes, im really buying one of each... At least one of each [
] I enjoyed racing touring cars, but not as much as I liked to race the grasshoppers 20 years ago. Im 29 y/o. When I was a wee laddy, I used to go dowanthe road and this guy had a little oval track in his backyard. He had 4 grasshoppers and we raced them. Then we had a "open" class. my brother would race our hornet and fare pretty well. badword, that hornet ran with a guys yokomo dogfighter, well... on the oval anyways. that was the day, friends getting together to race in the backyard. I wonder if anyone in the detroit michigan area would care to organise some backyard old school tamiya races.... hay, what a great Idea... a old school class... boy, I can ramble on about this forever...[

I just wanted to ad my 2 cents. I was out of the hobby for years and would have most likely not got back into it if it was not for the re-release of the lunchbox. I think that all these new rc cars coming out by different manufactures are pathetic. They totally lack realizm. I drive them for 2 runs and Im bored. I got out of rc when tamiya quite producing those "cool" cars. So, as for the re-re, I will be buying many, especially if the fox, hotshot, wildone romors are true. I think that rc is meant to be fun and not as an investment. Anyone that invest in toys for there future is asking for trouble. And these people crying about re-re <edited by moderator - please no harsh words in this forum>. to deny people the fun of rc because of the're "investment" is stupid. Its about time tamiya has brought back the cars of the past, badword... these are fun... I see a grasshopper and hornet in my future!
