quote:So thinking OK give this guy a gap I agreed to selling one. Suddenly demands were made about NIP Tires and "hubcaps" on the truck. (Current ones were brand new!!!!) Then followed a lengthy negotiation on the price and eventually we came to an agreement!!! id="quote">id="quote"> ah, i see, so if we all ask you enough for your showroom cars you will eventually give in. Be prepared for thousands of emails from the whole club now. [] Seriously though, i am sure it is frustrating to have opened up a new pack of something and then someone doesnt pay and you are stuck with mint condition opened parts. I suppose you should wait until the cash is in your hand before opening the parts. At least you didnt run them to demonstrate it to him!

quote:As you say it would be easy to make but would need hardish material so would also need a decent lathe.id="quote">id="quote">All you need is a piece of silver steel rod cut to length and the flat filed into it. i have 642. How do you know your overall position? It doesnt say [] -
people do fall for it though. They see a bargain BIN price and hit the button incase someone else gets there 1st. They then read description and realise what they did. Thats sort ofwhat happened to a buyer on my last auctiion. He hit the BIN otion without reading the description! I made a post recently about it. It was a basically scorcher chassis with a monster beetle body painted like a scorcher, all said in the descrition. Just shows people dont read what you put.

i was a bad boy and got a top force coming from ebay.co.uk. I bid but mailed the seller an offer that was very reasonable (the sort of price i honestly thought the auction would finish at) and they agreed to it. I think Tamiya UK was bidding on it after i mailed the seller. I offered him £125 which i know is alot but it had parts i really wanted and could not risk loosing. It had the alloy rear and front shock towers (i never knew the front existed till that point) Light weight gear shafts and light weight prop shaft, the upgraded alloy shocks, loads of ball bearings and tons of spares. ( 2 more basic buggies like the top force broken into parts) Anyway, the guy was happy with that and we agreed. He mailed me the next night saying someone offered him £140 but i asked 1st so its mine. Seemed a great guy. I have never bought outside ebay before but his feedback was great so i thought it worth the risk. This allowed me to nearly complete my fully modded top force which is coming to the spring drive. Loads of spares now so breaking something shouldn't be a problem.
