  1. Just got me a 1.4 litre 16V sports Corsa (Vauxhall) and was wondering about a stainless exhaust complete system. What would it do to the power output and torque figure compared to say a normal performance system or a standard (original) corsa system? Does anybody have experience of a stainless system to know about the sound difference and life? I do loads of very short trips so the car eats exhaust systems fast (at least it did on my old 1.2 corsa, about once a year i had to change the back box and middle pipe) Any ideas would be appreciated.
  2. Ive got an EMAXX that i canverted to 7.2 volt on a super rooster. It has 2 of the latest stock motors in and it goes better than the 14.4 option! The motors are so cool after running and you can keep on putting the packs through and no build up of heat. You must get one. I really want the new 2.5 tmaxx but just bought me a sports Corsa and its either a tmaxx or a stainless stell exhaust system. Just cant decide...
  3. How could you miss the roll bar in backwards! [xx(] That one kills me! Just had to mail the seller to let him know. Probably get a mail back slagging me off for being critical. Still, i am sure we all did stuff like that (and probably still do!)
  4. Do you think it wins the competion for worst body of the year? If anybody has a worse one i would love to see it. Still cant imagine how it got like it. The rear looks like it has been in a paper shredder. AAAAARRRGGGGHH!!!!!! I love the way the body is described as poor! The chassis looks alright though, just cant imagine that that body was ever on that chassis as if so the body took ALL the impact []
  5. Remembering back to another topic about bad body shells i found this today on Ebay.co.uk http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0&category=1200 Nice effect [^]
  6. quote:i was wondering if there is any other place like any web sites that i wiould be bale to get get parts from?id="quote">id="quote">There is a great site called Tamiyaclub that i heard someone talking about but i cant find it anywhere []
  7. you can get superglue debonder which makes it sort of rubbery but still needs alot of work to actually remove it. Still, it may get it loose and its not expensive. Comes in handy when you stick your fingers to something. Thats what they use in hospital if you glue your fingers together.
  8. this was talked about a while back. Think the conclusion was that people would end up obsessed by getting hits on their page and then getting some bad feedback and a slagging match would begin between members. Something like that anyway.
  9. quote:..or just go for the imfamous Conrad 240826 (if you can get hold of one though), then you wouldn't have to worry about nothing!id="quote">id="quote">What is this conrad motor people keep talking about? I have never heard of it.
  10. nib scorcher for £500, you are having a laugh mate. Still you never know do you...
  11. rotate the servo wire plug 180 degrees so it fits the other way around. You may have it in backwards. I have always found the black wire goes to the outside of the reciever. hope this helps.
  12. i bought the gear set for the ta02 for my top force (same as manta ray basically) It has all the gears needed with a few extra bits. It also comes with those small caps that the gear rods go into. dont know anything more about the manta ray but the top force is no worries.
  13. no interest in the for sale section here in the club?
  14. yeah, what is so great about it? Hand built by an rc legend or made of metal recovered from a crashed UFO? What is so special? It took ages to read all those posts only to find nobody says what it does! ( yes i know the metal pole spins in the black metal lump but you know what i mean []
  15. quote:I take it i should strip them like a polycarbonate body in brake fluid????? id="quote">id="quote"> Err, you strip hard plastic bodies in brake fluid. never strip a polcarbonate one like this or you will end up with a nightmare ish mess.[xx(] (You probably know just wrote it wrong) If they are super glued on you can buy a de-bonder that makes the glue go soft and rubber so can be cleaned off. Dont know about other types of glue though.
  16. quote:Tamiya, be innovative again. Give us something new and unexpected, but usable! id="quote">id="quote"> I rekon a series of power pullers would be cool.
  17. I cant solder using just solder alone. I always use soldering flux. This paste just makes the solder flow well and stick every time. One tin will last many years and makes life so much easier. The only down side of flux is by its nature being corrosive ( designed to remove all grease etc from the joint) It eventually damages the soldering iron tip so a small file is a good idea to keep it neat. As far as i know the most common brand is "fluxite". Should be sold in any plumbing shop as its a vital part for a plumber.
  18. hope you payed your green fees and raked the sand back nicely after use []
  19. looks like "Odo" (the shape shifter) out of "deep space 9" (i think it was that programme) I am sure someone knows who i mean. []
  20. quote:As I've posted this in the Wintage section then that narrows it down to the first 150 cars id="quote">id="quote">New section "wintage" chris? []
  21. brushless motors use alot less power than normal motors. They run fast and cool. Dont know what they are like in a blackfoot though.
  22. Thanks for the thought, i will have to look ito that. I already have a box load of brake fluid in use so that cost has already been taken out of the equation. If it is lexan though i cant use it. Hope the meths will shift it. If not just a bit of sand paper will do. Are this guys listings in English? Thanks mate.
  23. quote: However if you look at his feed back he brought those Enzo ferraris from Stella Models for a lot less than he is trying to sell them for!id="quote">id="quote">Isn't that the point of buying stock and selling for a profit? Dont think many businesses would survive if they sold stuff for what they paid. Maybe i missed something somewhere and am not reading that question right. Oh well. []
