i saw that one. It is a kit made up out of parts they have found. Fair enough to say its already opened i feel. Creative wording at its finest. Would not have the same effect if they said " Tamiya scorcher parts collection. This kit contains enough new (i think) bits to make a new car up." He has found an old box and shoved in the parts. Interesting to see if the box was from the ones before the revised version and see if it contained the correct pieces, not the newer type parts. "ignore the reserve not met" This still gave him the option of refusing the sale if it was too low. It also avoids final value fees which would be quite substantial so he would get a bit of money back. Maybe he was worried that nobody would bid on it and was encouraging people to have a go.

wow, remind me to never screw you over [] Local shops are always dear. The best way i found is mail order. Find a large stockist and just put up with a little postage cost. The prices for parts are cheaper anyway so it justifies it. Just remember to chill...[8D]

just bring along a 20 or so spray cans and repaint everybodies car bodies with big splats of coloured paint. Should make for some original looking cars. Nobody minds having their nice scorcher modified do they! []

I just use a plain old fine brush, a wobbly hand [], and some white acrylic. I think the results justify the time. Finishes off the car. At least its a cheap decoration. Why pay a fortune for things like new decals when a tiny pot of paint will last for more tyres than you can ever paint! (ok, new decals are a must quite often but hey [])

not expecting a big turnout then Chris? I am surprised about that. As long as the weather is not wet then it should be great. I know someone has probably already asked this but what is the ground like? Tarmac, gravel, grass, compacted dirt, loose dirt etc. It would be really nasty if it rained the same day or night before. Think of the mess you would end up with! I think popularity will depend on the weather, you will only really know numbers a day or so before. Lets hope for a fine one [8D]

I was just thinking about how the number people going and the number of cars being brought along. Just rambling on here but was thinking: If: 50 people go. 10 people in a race for a total of 5 minutes. (cant really manage more cars on a track can you? 10 minutes inbetween heats (roughly) That means 10 people take 15 min. 50 People take Aproximately 75 minutes to all have 1 go. Want 5 runs each means 375 minutes (around 6 hours) This would mean no messing about with all heats running on time. Add to this that people will run different cars each race if they bring them which means cars can't be matched for races easily. (Put a modded Avante up against a fighter buggy for example) All adds up to chaos. What if 100 people go AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!![xx(] Ok i know its a fun day and it will probably work itself out on the day and everybody will just drive their cars around the the park and enjoy themselves. Just bitter as i wont be able to go [] Thought of this while just reading over the last posts when chris basically said it seems to be getting popular day out. It makes you think. Very rare. I have never even seen a used for sale let alone a new one. I have been searching 2 years for either a ball or geared diff but have never found one. This is the 1st picture i have seen of one as well. Going green with envy as i type this []

a reasonable quality speed control hardly gets warm. They are so much better than the mechanical ones. you get to have brakes instead of just slamming it into reverse. Just 50 pounds buys a great control, you will never regrete it!

i just had to put a nose cone with immation indicators on as well as a sunroof just for a laugh. I just wanted to list it to make the buyer see that there are more out there, aren't i mean. [] you never know, somebody may buy it. []

i have one on order, **** EBAY, makes me spend all my money! Looked good to me. Saw the fake ones but thought why bother not much cheaper and you get what you pay for in the end. Do they work really well? Do they go in a straight line when going forwards or is the tracking usually off? Can they be adjusted?
