they probably won't mind if you quote the magazine name and the author of the piece. Probably best to drop the company a mail asking 1st though. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice? -
Hate to think how big the reciever is, probably the size of a house brick. The transmitter must look complicated... ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice? Edited by - mr_lister999. on 16 Oct 2002 16:49:10

yeah, the holes in the front and the two rear holes are a couple of mm bigger. You have to dill out the suspension arm and use a larger diameter connecting pin. You can use the normal scorcher arm and pin but it does not fit well. The easiest way to tell is the holes at the front. I think its wrong for people to sell things that they say are one thing and are not. Fair enough if they don't know but after emailing them, they should add/modify item description. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

i would agree with what you say. Its avoiding the insertion price of using BUY IT NOW and the final value fee would not apply as the listing would be ended without a sale. This is not always good for the seller or buyer as there is no buyer protection so you could loose your money and no option for feedback as far as i am aware. I may be wrong but that is how i understand EBAY works. Maybe somebody else knows. I know for certain i would not risk it. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

sounds like a possibility to me. Has anybody else got a theory? ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Has anybody bought one of these tiny little cars yet? I suppose for what they cost you put in 2 AA batteries and they go forwards at a slow speed? Look pretty cool though. Where else can you get a Hilux and Ford Ranger for that sort of money??? I think i may have to collect them, not so damaging to the bank account! ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

That sounds crazy to me. Why would a superchamp accessory be included on a rough rider body parts set??? You would think it would be moulded onto the superchamp one... ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

looking at the Ebay picture, the sprue is slightly different as well. see next to the roof on the top left where there is a square of plastic. The chances are that bit will say the sprue part letter and maybe the date. This could be a spares sprue from later in production maybe... I know the extra bit is not important but may be worth mentioning. I cant think what those little bits could be used for. Has anybody else got these on their new sprues or found them glued to their car? Check out his other item for sale. I bet these make more than 30 dollars! ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice? Edited by - mr_lister999. on 15 Oct 2002 19:35:01

Never seen these extra pieces before. Sorry i can't help but i am very interested in this. I hope somebody has an idea. All i can think is that its a different version as tamiya did make anumber of small changes to their kits after the 1st run. I'm going to have to look into this one. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Just better to seal it i find otherwise thats all you smell in your garage. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Going by my experience not alot. A tried to sell my 935 new body set a few months back but highest bid was 50 pounds (75USD) which did not meet my reserve. I was really suprised as it a genuine one whith 1979 as the year on the trees. I thought to myself what would i pay for it if i saw it on EBAY, well more than 50 quid anyway! I think it will make a large amount but as you say, condition is not specified. I guess 1308.27. (There is always some idiot that adds the extra tiny amount for no known reason...) ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Why does no one like Pumpkins?

Sounds suspecious to me. A bunch of guys from across the country meeting at a pub car park. Buying things out the back of each others motors and then all dissapearing off into the woods... You have to laugh don't you! ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice? -
This is what Ebay says: "When is an item covered? An item is covered when the high bidder of an auction sends money to the seller, in good faith, and does not receive the item or the item received is significantly different than the item described in the auction" Would this be significantly different. On one hand yes: you can't use the superchamp parts for a scorcher as the holes are bigger in the back of the case so unusable. Also the arms would not fit the torsion bars and it won't mount in the rear holes. On the other hand no: The parts are similar in size and only vary slightly from the scorcher ones. I feel that the second way is how they would view it. Would you guys agree about this? Personally i will take whatever the parts are as i want them but i thought this could be an interesting item to find out about claiming on incase something happens in the future, not just to me but you guys as well. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

It was mentioned in the title that it was SS, SC, and FR. In the listing it said scorcher and made no mention of other info. He has good feedback so i don't think he intentionaly did it. Still not too bad really. Just out of interest what would happen if you recieved the parts and tried to complain that they were not as described? Would it be up to you to ask/find out before bidding or could you get a fefund of square deal of EBAY? I am happy with whats there as i know what bits there are but new people to hobby would blindly buy it because it says they are scorcher parts. Thanks jerzirccar. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Look at the price of these... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1775338826 Used tyres with no wheels. Some people are crazy. 10-15 pounds at the very most that would only be if you were desperate. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?
-
I knew it was a superchamp box because of the holes in the front. I already have a new scorcher one so that was not a problem. It was the other bits i wanted and would have paid the same if it had no gear box at all. SS gear box would have been better but you can't have everything can you. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Just got this off EBAY http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=1777372238 I think thats quite good value at 80 pounds but what do you guys think? Shame i just bought a new rear cage, but you can never have enough can you! Shame i missed this guys new scorcher tyres, i wanted those! I think 150 pounds is over the top for the new radio box though. Just thought i would share my find, it had only been on there a very short time. Ive been aftera new chassis for a while now. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?

Once is used for stripping paint it can never be used for anything else. Never even think about filtering it and putting it in your brake system (if thats were you mean) You should always use brand new fluid in your brakes and you are not really meant to use an open bottle of fluid in your car as it attracts moisture which reduces braking effieiency. You can keep on re-using the fluid for stripping as long as you want. If you fell like filtering out the bits you can but not important. Hope this helps. ------------------------- If practice makes perfect, and no one is perfect, why practice?
