  1. I changed the bearings a while back (sorry, forgot to update forum). Works fine now. turned smoothly before though but it worked so never mind.) Thanks guys
  2. I have those mini tyres mounted onto my touring car rims. Super hard rubber inserts as well which produce a super low profile. Look good and loads of grip.
  3. If used i would say not a great deal really. Should get a fiver or so for a pair but who knows. Think how much you would pay for them. If i wanted them thats whats i would go to. They are worth what ever people will pay. Put on a reasonable start and a just above average buy it now. Lets put it this way, you won't be able to retire on the money. Just my view, you may all now correct me.
  4. What ones have you guys got? Anybody know for definate which batch they came with? Edited by - mr_lister999. on 30 Sep 2002 18:35:31
  5. They were probably in the 1st batch of kits i suppose and then changed the design later along with the other little details.
  6. I know it cost a fair bit on the initial outlay (about 20 - 25 pounds if you want to fill a big box to get a whole body and some bits in) but justifies it with the speed. If you can do the whole body in one go its much better than turning and "basting" it with fluid. I know that black buckets work as well
  7. Looks like its been made up with a two part expoxy stuff like epoxy plastercine (you know what i mean). Needs sanding down and a respray. Could look alright when done though.
  8. Any coulour of bucket works not just green ones
  9. looks hand made to me. Personally i would bid but shipping to UK would be too much. I think it does look wrong though.
  10. yeah i have quite a few of these. Don't really like them in use because the bearing on the inner side just comes out onto the shaft. They are a bit lighter though when you leave the bearing off.
  11. Basically fill a bucket with fliud and stick the shell in it. Can't get any easier.
  12. I have only ever had used shocksd but they all let out the oil very quickly when i fill them. When they are new, do they hold the oil and work? As there are no rubber seals i can only think the oil would escape from the bottom.
  13. I would never had known any different as i have never owned or really looked at these cars. If someone said they were tamiya i would have believed it as i only vaguely know these bodies. On the SC i would have thought it was painted not different colour plastics. Just goes to show you.
  14. That happened to me but it was a pack of batteries that had shorted, whoops! Just as well there was nothing flamable in my tool box. The batteries were no good but hey.
  15. You say messing around but obviously somebody else bid higher so people will pay that amount. Only takes two people...
  16. When you say fakes, do you mean another companies aftermarket one or one that was designed to decieve you by claiming to be tamiya?
  17. Cant say i go around smelling my post but if that works for you... I have never noticed this before but i will take a quick smiff next time
  18. i had a blue one.
  19. A better way... get a rough rider or sand scorcher i suppose. Those cable ties work alright though.
  20. Yeah i agree. I just told a new seller about his new Scorcher wheels. Said they were for Rough Rider as well. told him and now has changed his description and notified the bidder. Not everyone knows the little differences but if we can help, it just makes the hobby better for everyone. Can't stand people buying something that is not as described, its just not fair.
  21. I always used electrical tape up until last week, Just bought some tamiya tape to give it a try. My scorcher is just waiting for me to get a can of paint. Am now worried about it. Well, only one way to find out...
  22. This one needs to be made into a FAQ section!!!!!
  23. Yeah i was bidding but i won't go higher than 80 pounds which is what its up to. I really wanted those hop up bits but i keep being outbid on it. Never mind, perhaps someone else has some i could buy? Does that roll cage look like it has had someone drill holes in it??? I am not sure.
