mr_lister999. replied to netsmithUK's topic in Meetings & Events
All inclusive mate. Its a 2 day event so loads and loads of racing and trading! -
I will have a box of stuff plus nearly a ford ranger and an emaxx. Some spares for SRB's, a few old shells bits and bobs. Will decide on the day.

quote:Stupid power would be brushless and as many battery cells as you can stuff in your chassis, like 10. I believe there is a UK company (modeltech or something) which makes a nice brushless set. Very expensive id="quote">id="quote"> Yup its modeltech. If you want to see it running just watch my touring car at snetterton! 15 minutes under full racing is possible whith a motor thats faster than a 12 turn Trinity d4 i had. Massive though is a downfall! Nowhere to put it in a modern chassis [] -

Im having a nightmare here! Been given so much overtime for such a large amount of money i havent had time for my cars [] Got 1 top force, tmaxx and rough rider ready, all the other stuff is in pieces! Cant wait for payday, i am sure that will make up for it. (I hope)

thought that card was pretty funky. Couldnt get a hologram on the front? Oh well, never mind. Looking forward to the action.

It could be the motor is fairly worn. I know thats what happens with mardaves, the guys just flip the motors to the other side mount and it goes much faster. Maybe thats what happened here.

If nobody knows, list it on ebay with a massive reserve. Whatever it gets up to is going to be its maximum value so take off a percentage and thats your answer. I know it will cost money to list but it will find the value for you. Just an idea.

Just thought i would keep people up to date with the weather forcast incase you didnt know what the weather man says. I in no way guarentee this to be correct but its as good as i can do since its what the met office says. This info is correct at time of posting. Saturday: Mostly cloudy, max 8 degrees Celcius. 20% chance of rain during the day, 50% at night. Sunday: Showers, Partly cloudy, 9 deg max, 50% chance rain day, 40% night.

wow, that is nice. I love chromed cars but alot of people hate them. It would look bad if you chromed used parts but new parts do look the business.

quote:Wow, only GBP95? That's not bad at all!! It looks great, here:http://www.cs-electronic.com/CS-Produkte/C...p_check_pro.php Hmm, the POWER CHECK motor dyno looks handy too. Arrgh... also the Robitronics. id="quote">id="quote">Thats the one willy, well done. I got a motor dyno from www.modeltech.co.uk. Fantastic little thing and about £82.99. Think its the cheapest dyno i have ever seen in the UK. Here it is: http://www.rclab.rochenhost.com/catalog/images/e2009.gif Their stuff is great plus free postage as well on orders over £10. Thats where i got my brushless motor from as well.

Sand Scorcher Steering knuckle question
mr_lister999. replied to Spacemate's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Tamiya repairer, shame on you, half the fun is messing around taking the cars to bits and then wondering how to put them back again [] No excuse for that now with Tamiyaclub since all the manuals are here. Anyway, welcome to the board. -
Wow, thanks guys, never knew there were so many issues to consider with nitro! Just goes to show that i'm a nitro virgin [:I] so to speak... Well, it says use it in the manual and that wont invalidate their guarenmtee so thats what i will use. I do appreciate the advide though. Guess it will be a few years before i get it all worked out (or maybe a lifetime, you never know [] ) Another question is what is the life of nitro if kept in the original bottle once opened but kept tightly sealed. I know water ruins it over time but how long? Thanks guys.
