What is the idea of profile signatures? (O.K, i know i have one but i only did it because other people had one!) I suppose it just reminds you of the person who posts replies. Not important but there you go.

I just opted to paint mine graphite colour with a metalic silver using the dry brushing technique to highlight the grill. This is when you put a little paint onto a brush, rub that onto some absorbant paper (eg toilet roll) until most of the paint is off. This leaves you with almost dry paint on the brush. Stoke this over the grill (or anthing else that needs highlighting) and the paint will start to build up. Repeat this until you get the desired effect. A soft brush is best.
I hope that was clear enough to understand

I have found that when gears get loud its one of 2 things. The 1st is a worn bushing. Check that all bearing/bushings in the gear box are still in good condition. Secondaly it could be that a gear is chipped/damaged. More often than not its a worn bearing that caused the gears to come out of line and start to damage each other. This is just based on personal experience in different cars but i am sure other people have other ideas. Hope this helps.

Personally i say don't bother. Performance gain is so minimal its not worth your time. I just get a new motor, slap it into my car and off i go. Other people may disagree but hey, works for me.

The monster beetle nose cone should work. Can't say off hand the measurement but about 10mm i think. It has a slightly different curve to the top but hardly any difference. The main one of course being it has no indicator holes. I started a topic about all the differences between the monster beetle and scorcher a while back. I did ask that it be put in the FAQ section but its gone now (can we bring it back?) This is bound to be a question that will be asked time and time again. Is there any chance of a structured file system that allows us to view FAQ's about different models, or at least the ones most in demand, chris?
It would be great if you could add FAQ next to the online manual/ user rides section of the site. I have no idea what work is involved to do this but i am having a creative week with my ideas...

Nobody hits the live chat, interesting...

I always read forums 1st, reading every new post for the day. I will then check the top ten trade items and finally click on the link for new cars. I do not bother to read the main page listings as they have no pictures. I like to sell all the trade picture at once rather than looking at all the items individually.

yeah, Ranger decals next. There are not that many to a set really and they are so rare. At least with scorcher decals you can still buy originals now and again (even if you have to re-mortgage your house to get them). I have never seen a set of XLT decals new yet!

Like a drill motor, i see. Must be why the black motor and technigold are in such demand because of the high prices they must have been. Thanks.

Looks like you will have to sell your Wild Willy!!!

Oh well, maybe just my local college then...

Just looked at the price of new Tamiya motors and was shocked how much dearer they are than equivalent ones. Over 74 pounds for their top modified!!!! I would expect a slightly higher price but why when competitors motors are about 50 pounds? I heard somewhere they have an fan inside, is this true? What other differences are there (apart from the nice box) Just got one new from Ebay for 45 pounds which i think is more realistic.
How much are they where you live? And what do they do others don't? Thanks.
Here is the motor in question...

really helps on Ebay as well to have a great photo. I did one recently in a hurry and looked very bad. Did not sell it even though it was a reasonable reserve.

Wow, i was right about the bandwidth. A 1st for me that. Cambridge University here i come...

-
still alot of trouble really. And if everybody does that, they would only be on there a very short time. Not to mention taking up the bandwidth (i hope thats the correct term, not to hot on the technical side!)

I remove everything and then spray. No problems so far. I found this best as when you spay with the roof on, paint builds up in the gap and makes the lines less visable. (ok, i have only done 3 scorches so not an expert, but they are fine.)
-
I was just thinking about if they ask what shop you can get things from or something like that. You may reply but that shop does not exist in their country and they go looking for it.
-
Well, its the 1st one i have ever seen. This is bound to finish at a high price. Depending on Bidders i would say it could be nearer the 1000 mark. There have been some rare kits recently and in these bidding times it should be high. (Of course i could be way out and it finishes at a a few hundred. Then i will eat my words

-
Half that price and he may get a bid. No guarentees though...

What happens if two people use the sniper service for the same item? Who wins?

With the introduction of this search, it is going to be more important for people to clear out the items they have already sold in their showrooms. I have already found a piece i wanted so its helped already. Great.
