Thats alxways good for buyers. It brings down the cost by having the same number of bidders bidding for 5 cars instead of one and putting on a premium price. It also gives you a chance if you miss the 1st one or 2.

I used a lexan glue. Its called "fender mender" Its designed to repair torn lexan but using it as glue is just as effective. I bought it from a modelshop here in the UK. Don't know if its in USA for you guys over there.

Yeah, had my thinking cap on. I do check but if i buy a damaged car i forget what has been listed a while back. Will try to come up with a few more ideas if i can.

Just this minute noticed that if you keep clicking and pressing back on the browser you cankeep adding to the number of times a posting is viewed. This could mean that when you think 100 people have viewved your article (which could be an important one from chris) and only 25 people could have read it 4 times each because they cam back and read a reply.
Do you think it could be worth changing the counter to show how many different screen names have read the article as well as total number of times viewed?

How many old makes do you guys i know of? Apart from the modern ones, when i started collecting i only knew of Tamiya and Kyosho. I had a box of stuff all new from AYK (which i had never heard of). They were all for a car that had a gold/brass color two part buggy chassis. Has anybody got a picture of it if they know the one i mean as i would like to see it. I had about half the car new and sold it and was wondering what i have lost. Any help would be appreciated

I think it would be great for a search box that we could type in say "scorcher" and it brings up a list of everything "scorcher" thats for sale/trade. I find it hard to look for items i want and can only really check the latest posts. You get a few inquires when 1st posted then nothing after about 2 days. (as soon as you item goes off the list with pictures on the trade page. Just a thought...

i meant to post this topic a while back but i keep on forgetting. I am trying to put all my ideas up today if i can think of what they all are. Not that many people have ideas i noticed (about 25 topics i think) I am sure other people must have ideas. Still a great site though chris.

Just wondering if there is a fast way to find a members page. I have had a cople times now that i want to find someone but it means reading through the list of showrooms and that takes quite a while (you always miss the one you want and find it the second time

I think it might be a good idea to list where people live next to their name in the forum. (Uk, USA etc) I have seen a few posts now where people say has anybody in my country got a... That means having to ask and just makes things harder.
There was also a few posts before about peole saying Easy off oven cleaner was easy to get and get it from your local store. After looking around for a while i was told it was an American product and i live in the UK!
What do you guys think.

I love "For auction is a Tamiya Sand Scorcher which is ready to run. Unlike others on ebay that need work" Wow, this kit needs no work doing to it at all!!!! Looks in a bad way to me but it must be good. It has just got to be the high light level of the photos that make it look bad!

I suppose they look at it that its only 5p and you never know, somebody might buy it... Now what should my BIN be on my smashed hornet? Maybe 500GBP sounds about right.

Well i have to say all the ones with with BIN only have sold so far (about 15 Tamiya items) If i set a reserve and a BIN i found people often do not meet reserve and i have to lower the price. I know its risky with only a BIN but if you set a good BIN then it should sell.
You can usually guess the reserve by the BIN anyway as a BIN of 100 ponds would be around 80-90. i.e 10-20% less than the BIN fee.
What i hate is when you can't sell something for say 15 pounds BIN one week and the next week somebody else sells one for nearly twice what your BIN amount was in a normal auction.
Never mind, all good fun in the end

I prefer But it now only auctions. If somebody wants it i have found they usually pay what i ask. I set my price similar to recent prices of the same condition.
If its me buying i would use the But it Now option if its reasonable because 1) i want the parts as soon as possible (very impatient) 2) I often forget about the auction and forget to bid 3) somebody else could make the bidding go over the buy it now price if the reserve is met. I can remember the new in pack scorcher front bumper from modelman recently. Buy it now for 28 pounds which i missed by a few min utes. Somebody hit the lower reserve but the final price was about 35 pounds i think. Missed a good price there.
Just my thoughts...

For me its a 1.2 litre Vauxhall Corsa. Insurance is so high for a new driver it was all i could afford to insure. Will get another car in about a year. Like the Peugeot 306 with the mods. Have to work alot longer yet until i can afford one though.

Boxes are nice as they show the original artwork. That said, i only have a monster beetle box (it was used as packaging for a couple or rough riders!) And also a Rough Rider body set box (again packaging material!) Always nice i think to have the box.

what i hate is when you get your car rady to go on Ebay and then find that somebody else has just put on on there. Its not worth listing yours then because it pulls both prices down. Just have to wait. Makes it a buyers market though.
