I think the double, triple, quad etc are the power curve of the motor. The higher the number, the smoother the feel, the lower they are the more punchy. I believe this does not change the RPM. Standard tamiya motors are 27 turns. I think the sport motors you said just have more timing to increase torque and RPM, they are still 27 turn.

I love the RR with holes. How much weight does that save ( i guess its not much but every little helps. ) What other car fronts have people put on their cars? I think its time to find my hacksaw again ( watch out rough riders, here i come...

i have decided on the yellow red scheme for my second scorcher as i have the blue/white one on my display shell. Shame i only have enough decals for about half the scheme.

Probably the best way but i just wack up the current and charge them at whatever i want. (usually about 5 amps) Got a couple of old batteries and they work fine. I use the revers pulse charge on my Novak charger to condition them. I am not very patient when it comes to waiting for a pack to charge.

People are free to choose whatever car they want. Just so happens that most people love the scorcher. Don't you have one? Great idea about a scorcher forum though...

yeah, my scorcher rolls when driving hard into a corner, the rough rider body does not on the same chassis. ( Don't worry, it is a bad condition scorcher shell so a few scratches won't hurt.)

It does seem to even itself out i suppose. Sometimes you get more than expected and other times not. Luck of the draw really. Anyway, you have to spend your money on something...

scorcher has a higher centre of gravity which increases body roll. Could be the chassis as both i have were second hand. There are lots of small variations but these were done over time by tamiya on the same kit (eg scorcher) or whatever. The rough rider body is more moulded to the shape of the chassis.

Whats you biggest waste of money? I did think that 95 pounds for a NIB Ford Ranger body that had blackfoot windows and the chrome parts taken off the tree and missing decals was my most expensive buy for what i got. Not really a waste of money but too much for what it was i feel. Well, with the prices recently not bad really

yeah, can't think of any other differences at the moment. I think the scorcher is the better looking car but the rough rider handles so much better, does not roll on the corner!!!

Just sell that one and buy a new built version. It would be cheaper and you could race it quicker!

It is agreat time to sell at the moment. Prices should rise a bit more yet in the next couple of months but these are crazy times!!! Who knows, the bottom may fall out of the market and NIB scorchers go for a pound on EBAY, Well perhaps not but you never know,
