  1. What parts have you custom built for your Scorcher? I have made a rear cage, side protectors, exhaust tip and roll bar. I want to make a carbon fibre chassis but i don't know where to get any carbon fibre! Basicaly i want to make (or buy) loads of custom parts for mine as i want one shelf queen one runner and one modified. Nearly got a new built scorcher now, got the runner but a lack of modified parts.

  2. Mosfets are the electronic black plastic things inside the ESC. The bit that goes on the top is a heatsink, i think its this that you mean. These cool the fets down but would have no effect o0n the motor speed really. I think the problem is just a wearing motor. This is what i had before. If its a sealed motor (does not come apart) I believe the brushes in the motor are worn in one direction. This causes the reverse direct to remain fairly new ( as you use the reverse less) but the forwards direction is wearing out. I am sorry that sounds a bit confusing and please correct me if im wrong anybody by all means. Thats what i was told by a fellow racer a while back. Basicaly try a new motor.

  3. The best seller i have found by far is RCRICH. A fantastic guy. My order was for 460 pounds so he said he would give me all his spares as well. Charged about 8 pounds total for postage on 3 cars. Gave me about 14 Scorcher and Rider wheels and tyres ( lots are really good), 4 trees of new scorcher wheels, new spur gear, assorted metal parts a scorcher front and rear tyre box, rough rider body parts box, and a monster beetle box all free. This guy is a true credit to Ebay and i will try to deal with him again.

  4. It may just be me but when i use the brake fluid it makes the plastic bodies split. It is probably coincidence (spelling?) but three aout of 4 shells have had a small crack (about an inch) in the middle running front to back. I suspect it is where they have been stressed and removing the paint frees them up. Cracks are easily hidden with a little glue and sanding but i would hate to think its the fluid damaging these expensive scorcher bodies. Any input would be great.

  5. I get mine from halfords. Sold in 5 litre bottles. I filled up a plastic toolbox with the fluid, it took 10 litres to fill it.

Results vary from paint type. My 1st rough rider was very easy. The paint went rubbery within 2 days and it all slid off. My second rough rider was different. The paint started coming off in just over an hour but they are some areas that are have not stripped yet and its been 5 days now. just be paitient really and hope its the right type of paint!!!
