I've a 1:64 decal sheet which I'd like to up to 1:10 for a project.

My idea is to up scale it and print on paper to see if it works out then if ok transfer to printing.

Anyone with any experience in this type of stuff?

Upscaling from a very small source in resolution will end up with so much blur and pixels. It will need a good graphic artist to render the prints and fine tune the edges too.

That's a seriously good looking body. Not that the Lancia was that much less good looking,  but it must be nice to have the opportunity to switch between two nice rally classics on that competent chassis.

PS: Which tyres are you on?

The wheels and tires set is from MST. 😊

  3. I still have a few unpainted bodies kept. Corolla WRC, Subaru WRX Sti, Mustang 350GT Bulit, Fiat Abarth 131 and this Celica ST165 that I worked on today. I stayed away from box art and conventional finsihes like the Repsol and Marlboro. So I did my own scheme.

This magnetic body post guide is very effective.

  5. I've used/owned several airbrush kits/guns from Tamiya, Badger and KKMoon. But the ones I really like using are the basic Tamiya Spraywork. Very basic but easy to use. The nozzle with a finer tip and cup can be replaced with a bigger one. I use this for basic painting of RC bodies, model car bodies, parts and many other things.

Tamiya Basic Airbrush : Amazon.com.au: Toys & Games

For a more serious painting and detailing, I currently use this KK Moon double action and I like it very much than my previous Tamiya HG and Badger 100 & 105. Comes with 3 nozzles and 3 cups.

KKmoon Professional Double Action Multi-Purpose Gravity Feed Spray ...

I also like gravity feed than the siphon.

As for my compressor, I use this.

    Iwata Power Jet Pro.

Iwata Studio Series Power Jet Pro Airbrush Compressor IS-975 ...

Will take pics of my actual set up tomorrow. As for all my models and turntable work, I use acrylic urethane paint. Thinner based with catalyst.

If we exclude all versions of TT-02, which chassis is good "basher" with adjustable suspension? Something which can be run on parking and will not be damaged after few minutes.

My choices would be: XV-01/02, TA-04/05/06/07, TB-03/04/05. All of which still have ample supply of parts and are interchangeable. Have fully adjustable suspension, steering, droop, gears, and diffs. All are available in tub chassis too which is a good choice for street/parking lot basher rather than full CF chassis.

  7. TRF is one of the best dampers out there but pricey. Yeah Racing is a good brand/option with very good performance at almost half the price. All you have to do is upgrade the o-ring and apply silicon grease in the o-rings upon assembly (do this also with TRF and other dampers) and you'll be amazed how they will perform. I have TRF dampers in my FF03 cars. YR Gear Shock 65mm in my XV-01 and YR 55mm in my FF-01. All work great without any issues or leaks.

Well, put it this way. You and Yoshimitsu are not the only persons in this form that got abuse from that member.

    Put it this way...

You're over sensitive and couldn't take criticism over debates that you were part of. You regarded the criticism as an insult and now claim it as an abuse and use this thread to jump into the bandwagon of those who also claim to have been "abused". Stop playing victim and learn to accept criticism. Stop abusing the word "abuse" and use it with relevance.

  9. There are so many forums out there. Different topics for different people/enthusiasts. I'm a member to many others. 1:1 car forums, watches, diecast models, DJ forums, audio stuff, home theater, camera, and few other RC forums.

Majority (if not all) of those forums have dedicated galleries (no words) threads. Just like a photo album, it doesn't need a single word to explain things because members in those forums (like here) share the same passion and knowledge. And FYI, those gallery threads were not all created by admins/moderators. Some were created by normal/standard members like myself but they/we don't get to be told that they/we have no right to put a ssmple rule such as "no words". Everybody jjust ollows and it flows nicely. If in case one wants to ask or commend a photo, then that's when the PM or another thread is handy to discuss to avoid derailing the gallery thread. Here at TC, @dmelczer created a discussion thread for the gallery for the obvious reason. And it was very helpful and peaceful too. i don't understand why some people don't get that or find it silly. It's also not hard to correct an error if done unintentionally because majority of forums have the edit function just like here.

Majority of us are adults in this forum. It is not hard for us to understand or comprehend simple rules. If anyone doesn't like the thread, then don't view or post. It's simple as that.

My inbox is blowing up so……

No, me and you are the same level. You have no right to complain that someone has posted in a thread. Nor do I. Youre not a staff member. You’re nothing, like me,

. That means you or me cant call someone out for breaking an imaginary rule you made up. As the mod explained above

Did it say in the rules of this forum that you can't complain or call out a member who intentionally harms/derails a topic? If so, by all means, please show me.

Like you, we are nothing? Is that how a forums and its admins should treat regular/normal members? Like no rights or whatsoever to question or complain? It is very normal that debates and arguments are discussed in a forum. The reason why it's called a forum. It's not always sunshine and flowers. Sometimes, arguments and debates occur and allowed as long as they're moderated.

@moffman like Yoshimitsu, I also quoted you nicely/politely on your multiple post with words in that thread. But you also chose to ignore it and worse, even added posts with more words which was very childish and disrespectful not only to me but to those who are enjoying that thread because you were intentionally derailing the thread. Thus, the reason why I told you to grow up. Now stop playing victim and innocent. You know what you did. The admins had to step in and took some actions which probably hurt your ego and put the blame on me.

I don't undersatnd these statements really.

Just because I'm not a paid or premium member, gives me no right to say any complains or call out someone who has done something offensively/intentionally? Does this make you above me and a better person just because I'm a standard/normal member? Please explain...

I said i wouldnt comment, but you do realise that EVERY SINGLE OTHER THREAD on here has text replies, because you know this is a forum where text is normal. Its extremely essy to type a reply when thats the norm in the other thousands of threads.

    Im out now.

But I'm pretty sure that everyone who opened and posted on that thread has read the title and you do realize and understand what it means right? Just because there's a reply button, doesn't mean that you have to reply with words or text. The reply button can be used to post pictures without words too you know. Well, that again is pretty obvious. There are thousands of threads here and only one with a simple rule of "no-words", yet can't be or refused to be followed. Why?

I get people like the gallery thread, thats fine, its very popular, but a member posting a thread calling someome a clown because of a mistake should be a bannable offence IMO.

First time could be a mistake. Second and third time without any intentions of correcting or editing it isn't a mistake. That's pretty obvious. Now do you still want to insist that it was a mistake?

Theres far more important things going on in the world, and the fact you’ve even made this thread is surely against some sort of forum rules, maybe youre the one who needs some intervention from the mods/admin? Youve called another member a clown?

    2 hours ago, Kpowell911 said:

Are you being serious or is this a joke thread? Theres only one clown here and its not @Yoshimitsu

    The irony.

Surely some sort of action should be taken against you?

So is this a rule you're making?

What's the fury in you? You're not even in the discussion and you come in so furious.  Then you have an issue.

    Hi,

I had to set steering EPA to 80%, because of steering lock, which is totally normal and fine.

However, I found that with turned wheels, I hear rattling sound of Dog Bones. To not hear it, I need to set EPA to 50%.

What in that case? Should I leave EPA on 50% or just run on 80%?

I know that CVDs are solution, but I do not want to buy if it is not necessary.

I had this problem before. Then upgraded to CVD for the front. Issue was solved. With the rear, still using stock dogbones with o-rings fiited in the drive cups and no issues at all.
