  1. Apparently, you'll be accused of not being a grown up and called out if you use the word decal "wrongfully" as Mr. Professional Modeler does excellent and flawless job in all his modeling work. Probably because he's THE authority and Guru when it comes to decal and sticker (and Lipo safety) standard classification and certification equivalent to ISO.
  2. Decals are not just for models which is the water-slide that you refer to. The word decal is also referred to outdoor stickers/decals used in almost everything from automotive, civil industry/buildings, marine and aviation. Also using the name "decal" doesn't make anyone here feel like a grown up unless it's only you. Now wanna get to modeling discussion? I don't really wanna go off-topic and derail this thread but trust me, you don't want to talk about that and feel like a kindergarten.
  3. After last week's rallycross event, I realized I need a faster servo for this car. So I ordered the Power HD R12. Specs are identical to my Power HD L-12HV installed in my FF-03 Pro-R. Although the later has an all aluminum casing while the R12's top case is plastic but the rest of the body is also aluminum. A bit smaller than the SPT 4412 servo Another thing I like with low-pro servos by Power HD is that they have short cables and no need for me to shorten and re-solder. Here's a video:

  5. The pinion and spur gears are fully covered on the R.
  6. Those two are the LC Racing PTG2-R (above) and an upgraded PTG2 (below). They're basically the same. The "R" being an upgraded one just like Tamiya's "R" versions. But the R of PTG2 refers to as "rally". FRP parts from the standard PTG2 have been upgraded with carbon fiber, under chassis is aluminum, comes with chassis lexan shell and fender with mud guards. The PTG2-R is a fantastic high performance rally car. I've seen and driven a couple and boy was I impressed. Handled almost as good as the XV-01/02. The nice thing about these kits are the upgraded parts that come with it. Full ball bearings, all adjustable turnbuckles, metal gear diffs, floating servo holder sealed pion and spur for the R, very nice and well performing aluminum dampers, aluminum center shafts, CVDs, etc. All in a $300 range. There are many videos in YT that you can also check.
  7. That's what's important and you're happy. Those shock tower link stabilizers look great and innovative. Nice work! Oh and the wheels really look great on the DT-03. Thanks for the hex hub links too.
  8. Looking forward to seeing your upcoming projects. For sure there will be multiple WO on the line for you.
  9. I bought a hex front conversion for my WO but it didn't seem to work. Can you share yours and what brand you used? I like the Kyosho style wheels too. Looks great. Also if you don't mind, can you share clean pics of your DT-03? Thanks in advance!
  10. @BuggyDad for sure you had a lot of fun there. Is this a DT-02? If so, What wheels are you using?
  11. I always love the WO. It was a dream kit I never had back in the day. It was only 2 years ago when a good friend of mine gave me because he had three. The two being re-re, one built and one kept unbuilt in the original box. I didn't really have plans of converting the WO until I saw the BH one with silver and grey bits instead of the red and with a blue body. I instantly fell in love with it (like I did with the original WO back in the 80s). So when the BH parts became available, I went for it. But I actually ended up spending more than buying the whole BH kit due to separate tax and shipping costs from ebay & RCMart. But hey, that wouldn't be a conversion anymore if I bought the entire kit would it? Now falling in love with the TS is another story. I used to just see it in catalogs (just like the WO). That is a mission that I must accomplish this year (and another touring 4wd car ). I will scrap the BBX plans and remain with the nostalgic one. Especially after seeing your builds which inspired me even more.
  12. You can send me some of your doubles that I miss or never had you know. SA, TS, OM...
  13. I buy my screws from different sources locally and online. For RC aluminum screws, I get them from RCmart. Best alternative to blue aluminum screws are Yeah Racing /YR. Cheaper, just as sturdy, blue shade is very close and have more items insade each pack. Tamiya usually includes 5 pieces only. YR comes in 10 pieces at almost half the price of Tamiya. For my steel and stainless hex screws, I get them from Aliexpress and local shops (if they're available).
  14. Just copy the image(s) from the other thread and post here then make a comment.
  15. Happy birthday @Busdriver aka Jeremy! Have a good one and spend it well with Mrs BD rather than your models. Otherwise, you know the consequence.
  16. Love the new Optima Mid build and the shots @Ferruz Especially these.
  17. Some updates on the Wild One R (TRF inspired ) Fabricated the 1mm carbon fiber fins and installed it. Installed the rear lamps Cut and installed the screen on the sides... and also a small portion of the screen at the back. Next will be installing the LED bulbs and detail the driver's face and helmet while waiting for the front star-dish rims and tires. I already have the rear star-dish wheels.
