Hi all,
Sorry to resurect such an old post, but I'm working on a Fox as well and seem to have some bind in the drivetrain. The wheels don't roll as freely as I think they should but seem better when the suspension is compressed a bit. I've taken the entire car apart and cleaned everything including the gearbox but the problem persists. Could it be my halfshafts? Anyone have any experience with the Thorp dogbone conversion? This won't be a mint restoration, just a runner, so some mods are ok. I realize there's going to be some resistance from the motor, but the car comes to a dead stop when you lift off the throttle (almost like having brakes) and I'm not getting the speed or run-time I should be. Any help would be very appreciated. And yes, I've found everything I needed on eBay too.

Is a Tamiya Falcon worth anything ?

I restored a Falcon recently for my young cousin's first RC, but I did a monster truck conversion including Blackfoot wheels and tires. I reinforced the front bulkhead/shock tower, bought two spare sets of dogbones and topped it off with an HPI Dodge truck body. It's clean, tough and very fast (buggy gearing with monster truck tires). The independant suspension and oil shocks make it handle surprisingly well. All in all, a great performer and so cheap and easy to build. I'll have to dig up some pictures and figure out how to post them in here.
