I think New Bright, they make an H1 as well. Buy it for the body, that is about it. Performance is sub par, but it looks good in IMHO.

I have been waching a certain Tamiya model over the last 4 months on ebay very closely. Now that you mention it, I do see the same two bidders always bidding on the same Tamiya vehicle, whether it be MIB or used. They have won a few but mainly bid up to the mid range of what they end up selling for. Do you think they are trying to artifically maintain a market value. Maybe I spend to much time on Ebay.

The 56005 Sherman has the DMD in the kit, so I should be good to go right ? Thanks, BD6 -
Does anyone know if you can add the Tamiya battle system to the sherman model # 56005 straight up or is there additional things needed to purchase? Thanks, BD6

Retro price controversey......

HaHa... This is where I purchased my first Tamiya product. It was a great deal until I figured out I needed a radio as well.[] Check out the Bruiser, just think if they had one in stock and they are still around !!! BD6 -
There were two versions of the grave digger 1/6. The first came out 5 years ago and was around 300 bucks. It had dual shocks on each tire and was more heavy duty then the more recent one at Walmart. I had two of them. Pretty fast for the size 8 to 10 mph I reckon. Sold one and had the shelf queen fall off of a 6ft shelf and crash to the ground. Broke the rear swing arm off the frame. No parts available from Tyco and the new version is for single shock set up. That was a bad day. Still waiting to fix it, it is cool for the sheer size and weight. BD6

A new rumor on Tamiya's re-release plan (scoop)

I am speechless.... That is the largest concentrated collection of a single brand I have ever seen. God forbid if there was a fire, I wonder what could be saved ? There would probably be some sort of toxic cloud over Jersey made up of plastic and lexan. BD6 -

A new rumor on Tamiya's re-release plan (scoop)

I experienced the same thing with the star wars / GiJoe universe. Had nearly everything and made a decent profit on sales. When everything was re released my market nearly dried up. No one wanted a yellow faded out of scale x wing when the new and better ones came out. That was a tough pill to swallow. From that point on no more heavy investment in collectables. I think ebay has exposed the potential earnings made on vintage items to corporations and the rest is history being made. Regards, BD6 -
