  1. Btw, whats the timetable for the day, i mean, when does booking in begin/close, when does racing start/finish.
  2. Hmm, to have this shell in 1/10 would require a chassis with extra low front suspension, so as not to protrude through the bonnet (hood) If only there was such a chassis, say with inboard suspension.......... im just speculating btw.
  3. I own a 1:1 mini, but unfortunately it's in the process of being restored and i dont think it'll be ready any time soon, and my brothers 1:1 mini is hardly magazine quality, besides the fact he isn't coming []
  4. When linking them up end to end (+ve of one to -ve of next) or in series as its known, you add the potential differences (voltages) together, which in this case would give 8.4V, but the capacity would stay the same - 1600mAh. To increase the capacity of a pack you would need to connect them in parallel (side by side with all +ves together and all -ves together) this would give you a pack with 11,200 mAh capacity but only 1.2V.
  5. I agree, dish wheels suck, not just manta ray ones either. Where i race, and probably everywhere else, almost all of the touring cars use dish wheels and they look terrible, especially in white. [N] [N] [N] [N] the last time i raced touriong cars i used a set of grey skyline 2 piece wheels [Y] [Y] [Y]

  7. Wear latex gloves? i guess the tape would then just stick to the gloves... how about wiping over the surface with a cleaning solution rather than wash the whole lot in one go with soapy water?
  8. If by lower gearing you mean lower top speed / high gear ratio (small pinion, large spur), then yes, this will provide the best possible braking force, because it means the motors shaft will be spinning faster than lower ratios for a given road speed. The faster the motor is being turned (like a generator or dynamo) the more voltage is produced. When the brakes are applied, the esc directs this to the batteries to recharge them.
  9. I think tamiya are going to release a lexan countach shell, similar to the 934 lexan shell for the gt01. maybe theyll even bring out some other old 1/12 shells in lexan...
  10. no, im referring to the gt-01 tamtech 1/12 assembly series, the same as the porsche that's just come out.
  11. Has there been a release of the lambo countach on the gt-01 chassis along with the porsche 934? if not then i think there is definitely one on the cards. on the tamiya eurocup website, the rules for the "TLMS" class say the you can use the GT-01 cahssis with sports car shells, and it mentions the countach. look here: http://www.tamiyaeurocup.co.uk/index.php?o...7&Itemid=52 near bottom under 'bodyshells'
  12. The white enkei wheels look great, but what tyres are they? i need either tamiya standard kit slicks (like in tt01 race car kits) or tamiya kit radials. (i'll be using them for eurocup stock class) What price for just the wheels?
  13. hi, im looking for any tamiya touring car ( 26mm ) wheels in usable condition. any design, any offset, any colour as long as they aren't buckled or broken, but must be tamiya. also kit tyres wanted (slicks or radial) reply here or pm thanks in advance
  14. I'm one of the interested people kevin was talking about. We (me, kevin and occasionally alan and a growing number of others) race minis every sunday at purton near swindon. the rules we use are almost identical to your 'miglia' class, with the addition of rear drive m-chassis being allowed as well. see here: www.swindonmodelcarclub.co.uk don't know who simon is though?!
  15. lol, i have that 8868 pneumatic truck kit as well! hours of fun, but sore hands after building it from the sharp corners on the peices. lego technic was my absolute favourite. still got most of it now too i think.
