Hi i had the same prob on the original hornet so i stuck a strip of foam on the inside of battery cover(try different thickness for desired effect) I pushed the battery back away from the pack and wedged it more tightly against the chassis. Give it a go worked fine for me.

  2. [:)]hi all. just a quick one.

built my first buggy (new hornet) but finding that when jumping or going over bumpy ground the battery cover falls off alot.its on the right way but the design seems a bit c@#p because of the weight of the battery.any ideas to keep it in place or the battery falling out? [;)]cheers.

Just a pointer: Test her before you go, else you could have a problem if you get there and realise that you've forgotten to solder something lol

Garvey, what charger are you using? With a peak charger your battery should never need to be left on trickle charge.

Runtime: Seems low, try discharging and recharging the pack a few times (or send it to me for regeneration, see other topic)

    Trickle charge: 18hrs.

They're the white plastic rings that slot into the wheels, axles etc....

    Thanks for that.

so the ball bearings just last longer and make for a better ride?

I'd also suggest replacing all the bushings in the car with a set of ball bearings, they're so cheap these days there's no reason not to have them. You'll need 9x 1150 and 1x 850.
