  1. Cripe, sorry GTodd. I would have flipped my **** at the moving company. Sometimes things are found, hang in there. Tip: If you are married, check the box labeled "wife's closet". You never know.
  2. The ugly Mad Bull purchase from last year turned into a slightly better Mad Bull. Or at least in my eyes. Plus, I had some really old yellow paint I was about to toss and decided it was good enough for this thing.
  3. Bullhead arrived packed nicely. The paint on it is great, no body scratches. I opened up both gearboxes, one had bearings and the other did not, but now they both have them. Replaced both pinions with steel pinions. A couple of the tires have flat spots from sitting. Now just waiting for the radio to arrive as the seller forgot to pack it.
  4. I’ve never had a Sport Tuned. I know if I was picking between a Radon and a closed can Sport Tuned, I would go with a Radon. That’s just me. Brushes and Springs can be replaced on the Radon. As long as both motors are set to the same timing it’ll be fine. Nothing needs to be set to a specific timing. The timing settings depend on if you want to squeeze a few more rpm’s out of it. Don’t overthink it 😃
  5. You can adjust the timing a bit to get a little more rpm or a little less. I would personally just leave them set at zero. I can't imagine the small amount of rpm is going to be noticeable on a clod.
  6. When I eventually update mine, those 19t are the ones I'm going with.
  7. Also, this video at 16:00 is what you are looking for, he specifically talks about the Clodbuster and reversing the motor:
  8. Yep, definitely would give it a bit of a boost. You might also look at the Reedy Radon brushed motors. Those you can reverse the timing on. They have a 19t, 17t and a 15t.
  9. I was looking over the manual hoping I had missed something. Interesting thought on the possible mount for the anti-rotation brackets. Thanks!
  10. The quality is top notch, it was packed beautifully. I’ll know more once I start putting it together. The service and friendliness from Thunder Tech was great as well. They hopefully will have a modernized website up soon, as of right now, they are only on Facebook. I hope to begin building in the next couple weeks and put up a thread on the build, or at least some final pics.
  11. Thunder Tech Racing Tremor Pro chassis arrived.
  12. Browsing on eBay last weekend, I was watching a Bullhead up for bid. Well, the Bullhead was priced too high I guess. It appeared brand new and the person that had it up said that her husband passed away recently and she was auctioning it off. It was 200 with radio, esc and it looked new. I was watching, no one bought it. So "make offer" was added when it came back up and I threw out $175 just for the heck of it and ended up with it. I think the killer on it was the $50 shipping. I figured for $225 it seemed worth it. So now I have a Clodbuster, Super Clodbuster, NIB Bullhead for the soon to be here Thunder Tech Racing Tremor Pro chassis, and this Bullhead when it arrives. RC greed at its finest.
  13. Thank you! And you sure get right to the point on that CRP part 😄. I’m going to hang on to it until I figure out what I’m going to do with it. You’ll be the first to know if I get rid of it. My promise to you will live in this thread forever. That chassis that was tossed had a lot of CRP parts on it. Makes me sick to think about it. 🙁
  14. I’ve had this baggy of Blackfoot parts floating around my workbench, desk, parts box etc for the last 10+ years. It was remnants of a parts Blackfoot that I had in storage. The rest of the truck “disappeared”, I blame my wife and her sudden “ridding things out” state that seems to happen once or twice a year. She denies throwing anything out. Anyhow, I have a couple of questions about these parts in the picture that I do not think are to the stock Blackfoot. The two trailing arm attachments are aluminum. Are those for strengthening up that K7 plastic piece? The second piece is that red piece in the gearbox midsection. I don’t see that in the red parts tree. Anyone know what that is?
  15. Out of curiosity, was there any relation between Marui and Tamiya at one time? That box looks just like the artwork on a Tamiya box.
  16. After reading all the delays above, I guess I feel better about getting mine in about 9 days from AsiaTees. Ordered Jun 21, they sent an email late in the evening on the 25th right before I was heading for bed asking for $15 additional shipping (on top of the $82 already paid) for FedEx International Priority. So I paid it quickly and notified them. They thanked me. 10 minutes later another email arrived asking for $17 more. I thought what the.... 5 minutes later another email arrived canceling the $17 additional. Then, FedEx hung on to it for 27 hours past the estimated delivery time. I’m just glad it made it.... all that fuss for a Bullhead!!!! Just waiting for the Thunder Tech Racing chassis now (about a 3 week waiting list).
  17. I'm not sure about dying them, painting plastic will just end up in scratches exposing the white. You can always get the Tamiya 9000360 D parts for the Bruiser in black. https://www.tamiyausa.com/shop/7-digit-spare-parts/rc-d-parts-58519/
  18. I had to revive my Facebook account to join the "Team Thunder Tech Racing" group. The guy that owns it (Darren) doesn't use his old website but is working on a new one. In the meantime, he has prices listed of everything he currently is selling posted in the group. If you are interested, you send him a message, he gives you an idea on how long it'll be before it ships and sends his PayPal ID for payment. I was going to go CPE on the chassis, but the Tremor looks awesome. It's about 100 bucks more than what I "wanted" to pay, but I figured why be disappointed? I've wanted an aftermarket chassis ever since I first laid eyes on a Clod Sassy Chassis. Go big I guess. https://www.facebook.com/groups/453856024744629/
  19. Ordered a Bullhead from AsiaTees, then ordered a Tremor Pro chassis kit from Thunder Tech. It’ll be a month before I have the Thunder Tech kit but it’ll be worth the wait. I’ve always wanted to convert a Clod! 😃
  20. That is a NICE Lunchbox! Beautiful job on the paint and decals.
  21. Mine has been ugly for 15+ years. Your shell looks great! Look at that mirror finish! If mine had looked that good, I would have never stripped it down.
  22. Jerks, I would call and raise badword. I notice screwups are rarely ever in reverse. Why couldn’t they have accidentally shipped a Bruiser?
  23. They screw up and you have to pay return shipping??
