  1. While the finals are tomorrow here are some photos of the practice day and first day from Shizuoka: First I went to the wrong place, ending up at the Tamiya circuit near one of Tamiyas factories Finally made it to Makuhari Messe and saw a few new items: XB TRF415 Wild Willy Metallic Special This is a factory assembled Tiger I, ive not seen it elsewhere except at another show New 1/18 Scale Rockbuster. Photos of the prototypes with the body on came out blurry but you can see the body is a smaller version of the TXT's. The Aluminium Chassis is also called a TLT-1. They dont move very fast but are quite cool Here are some photos of the circuit being used. Unfortunately again most photos came out blurry but it was pretty cool seeing 5 baja kings jumping the ramp at once. The first photo has Surikarn and the Japanese driver for whom the Sauber C12 all Japan champion kit was made for but whose name eludes me. Takura Yura, who has been designing Tamiya cars since the 934 was also there
  2. Not released in Japan till November 26 [8)] so that means the rest of the world gets it before Japan [?] BTW Hong Kong and Stella are not in Japan..
  3. I beleive the history is this. As most (in fact Ive never come across a green bodied version out of 4 or 5 ive seen) sold in Japan were white bodies, numbered RA1201 and Tamiya would have surely released it in Japan first the white bodied kit is the original. Probably the same as early Rough Riders/Sand Scorchers RA number kits appear to be those that came with a black bumper as oppossed to grey for 58XXX. Or it could have been green bodies were exported, white bodies were for Japan, just as different manuals were included in the kits.
  4. In the middle of a discussion today we got into talking about AYK and their sudden demise. Aparently some of the former workers got together and set up Cross which has concentrated on making aftermarket racing parts, though they also have a the fireforce kit too. So for the AYK fans check out: http://www.rc-cross.com
  5. Yup, at least some are getting busted now: http://www.palmbeachpost.com/localnews/con...cd712000e3.html
  6. Someone lists an auction say of a flat screen TV, with a buy it now price of under half retail. The description says something like winner will recieve a photo of the TV below. Winner pays and receives in the mail a photograph in an envelope of the TV.
  7. quote:Originally posted by TwmasterI'd bet that you sell it for insane money, then 3 weeks later the buyer will complain wantin ghis money back as it does not run. [)] id="quote">id="quote">It wouldnt be surprising, If had a few people think the empty boxes im currently selling are complete kits, even though at the top of each listing it says empty box and for this listing: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3152477866 I was just asked if the manual is in English. Its no wonder so many people can get away with the photo of a Flat screen TV/X-box scams
  8. Did you fund the paypal payment with a credit card? Because you can do a charge back with your credit card company. Paypal wont be happy and may freeze your account but you will get your money back
  9. At least in Japan, the 956's sold came with a second, smaller decal sheet with the Rothmans names that could be substituted. I could be wrong but I believe the change was originally brought on by laws in the US which prohibited promotional cigarette advertising on items for children.
  10. quote:Originally posted by mjohnston39Great photos, you wouldn't happen to have more of the TB-02 Hop-Ups? id="quote">id="quote">Sorry there were people in the way so couldnt get a straight photo quote:Originally posted by beermokerI like the Kyosho MiniZ Monsters too. Did they have only 2WD rear wheel drive and are they strong enough for a wheelie ? id="quote">id="quote">Didnt see any wheelies but they were constantly flipping on the track quote:Originally posted by urban warriorYou mean EXPEC? Still 27MHz-band? id="quote">id="quote">I ment as in they replace the adspec system, they are slightly cheaper retail price as well (Adspec GT-I was 17800). I assume they are still 27Mhz
  11. Here are some photos from the exhibition held last weekend in Tokyo. For some reason HPI did not turn up this year Kyosho - the Monster Mini-z's were probably the coolest new thing on show, lots of stunts, they are named and designed after kyosho nitro trucks - mad force etc Kyosho also had some vintage kits on display, optima, scorpion, landjump Yokomos stand Hirobo Helicopters ABC Tarantula with twin engines I think this is Aoshima, anyway its a ready built car based on custom jobs that a popular in Japan, nikko quality, popular in Japan with a light up boom stereo in the back 1/5 scale from Germany and of course Tamiya: King Tiger Vs Knight Hauler XB/QD The new Adspec
  12. from what ive seen nib's of this Kit go from $600-900 [?]
  13. Here is some pics of a boxed version Spital mostly made engine kits, as far as I know this was the only electric kit released
