Got a spare bit of time on my hands now, so I thought it would be good to make something. My skills arn't too great so something simple and straightforward. So I have decided to build a drag racer :-) Im planing on building a simple chassi with the main frame prototype being made from hardwood that you get from model shops. (like the stuff you made models with at school) and then if it works from aluminium or carbon, depending on tools. this will some how be attached to a aluminium chassis base with an F103 running gear at the rear. I will also try to source some 1/8 scale or large 1/10 wheels and foam tyres for the rear. It will be covered with the aeroplane wing stuff that you heat with a hair-dryer to set etc. I have been trying to draw some plans with no luck. Any Ideas of a good program I can use to create them? CS3 PS just too hard work for straight lines.

Batteries make diddly squat difference! as long as your using 6 cell 7.2v then all the mAh rating means is a better runtime.

Ive just got some vapextech (or sim) 3700. 12.50 each from eBay. and they are great! My Dark Impact flies now, and jumps supurbly off the ramp with them. I got one in the DI with a 17t and one in my lunch box with a 21t the luchbox wheelies for ages now and is very zippy, and both still havent run out. I am going to order another 3 or so when im paid!

I lost 20 on here from a member who never sent a ESC after loads of emails he said he sent it, then he never then he did, gave me a tracking number that didn't exist and then ignored my emails!

Are these any good? I am thinking of getting one for the DI, are they any faster over the std silver can, or is it just the foam filter/brushes that are different? Cheers

Just recieved from Stella! Brand new. It dosent fit in my gravel hound as slightly too fat?? open to offers or trade. I am looking for alloy wheel hexes or any DI hop-ups.

Ive brought some pinions from Stella for the Darkimpact. It states DF03 chassis on the packet, however the 23t dosent fit and the 25t just about touches. The motor dosent seem to get close enough to be able to engage! What can I do?

Found this at a car boot sale for £20 on sunday. Complete with radio and batt pack! looks bit like holiday buggy/rover style but not quite!

I understand that the DI uses non standard pinion gears? What is the smallest gear you can get? The 26t I have is too big I feel for my motor and want to goto a 21 or lower pin to get more acceleration from her and to get the best from the 17t motor!

You live and learn! My mates been running a 15t in his tt01 with the std eu101. My point was that the motor did not blow the controller, as it did this out of the box with no motor connected, as per the set up instuctions. So hence the motor was not to blame! but ooh umm

I was looking at this one, as well as the spike tyres one (Nitro Force) and Spirit! Whats it like?

Found out you can make the 101 forward only, so that one is now fixed! but saying that by putting a different motor in has invalidated the warrenty is stupid!! This cars are designed to be upgraded etc. Just because I put in a rebuildable stock into it. Thats like saying that Ive invalidated the warranty by not painting it the right colour, or putting bearings in it. Or putting a new car stereo in my 1:1 invalidating the warranty if the engine then blows.
