Managed to find an original monster beetle at a bootsale last weekend. I was going to sell on, but always wanted one so figured I would give it a bit of a restoration.
Are the body parts on the reissue the same as original? I need a nosecone, so hoping so!
Will get a pic up shortly!

Dug my old m-03 out the other day, it always seemed fast but we are talking maybe 12 turn motor, a decent esc and 7.2, going back a few years. Was thinking what to do with it, heres an idea!

It not the prettiest.

Not sure what value to place on this. any tips?
Its in pretty good nick looking over it, some light damage to the bodyshell around the edges, little bits chipped off. There is no damage to the chassis, it looks like its been used only very lightly. I have not tried to start it, so no idea on running condition.
There is a pair of servos and a reciever in the electrics box.

replied. Anyone interested in the Brat before it goes on ebay?
PLASTICS SOLD, rest on ebay this weekend.
-
Selling some of my collection, starting with this, its a rerelease Brat, I built it and run it on the playing field a couple times, so no damage on it. The shell is ok, stickers are a bit badly done in places but not awful, looks nice as a runner! Its the lexan shell. Car comes as pictured, with the steering servo and a motor, that was new when fitted so only run about 10mins total. The box is there, and I do have the manual so thats included too. Would like £55 posted for this.

Also have a sticker sheet for the hard body Brat shell - £5posted

And the driver plastics, rollbar, front bumper, screens SOLD

I am in welwyn garden city in hertfordshire and collection is fine on these bits too.

How much for a beatties bag, and for the mini wheels?
-
oh dear, i seem to have killed the thread lol
-
are you closing the shop in stevenage then? I'll be gutted by that

My 3, the yellow one is a standard m03, just sits on the shelf. The copper one is a 4x4 ABC chassis, running a 9turn, currently needing some parts after hitting a dropped kerb at full chat
. Orange and black one is the tramp lol, my main runner car, I had a tt-01 for a while and spent loads on it, then realised I prefered the mini! Its a m03 r (the one that comes with all the blue bits) but has various plastics replacing some of the alloy, as I found it needs some flex, has carbon gear spindles, ballraced, mantaray ball diff, 11 turn motor, carbon quick release battery kit, and a few other bits. Its much more battered now lol,l and has new wheels as the chrome ones finally started splitting. Goes thru tyres a bit too lol.

Going to have to start clearing some of my cars, its getting a bit out of control.
First up is a Chrome Midnight Pumpkin, its built up, but never run, has no electrics included. It comes with the box. After 40 for it.
Secondly I have a runner Midnight Pumpkin, its a older one, not sure how old. I bought it secondhand and used it a few times, it is in used condition but isn't smashed up, the shell is in pretty good nick. No electrics with this one either, used them in other cars. After 35 for this one.
I am in Welwyn Garden City in Hertfordshire.

m03 gets my vote, i had a tt01, spend loads on it and really disliked it to drive, no fun imho. thats only my opinions, couple mates i run with love their ones. i totally love my m03 thou, bags of fun to drive and takes loads of stick. its got a 15turn and a quality esc in and is a hoot!
-

my m03r, or the tramp as its known lol
-
pah, flippin' shelf queens, hate 'em.
lol, i like your avator pic mate, man after my own heart. you are local too, i am only in welwyn
-
yeah the shell will survive a good long time yet, the car itself has kinda evolved into the best combo of the orginal m03r kit, bits of the normal mini kit and hopups. i have had "better" cars but i keep coming back to the mini. Just sold my fully hopped up tt01 in fact, i really didnt like the way it drives lol
-
Love the staples

found them the best way to quick fix the shell lol. they do add to the used look too i guess!
-
Took the minis out last night , found a new place too, nice smooth bits and some **** bumpy bits too.

Only 2 of us sadly, but still good for a game of mini tag. Was pretty hard on my car (the orangeish one), shook the bolts out of the bottom of the front turnbuckles, I have found these wear after a while, and the screws come out really easy, replaced one with a alloy one to get me out of trouble last night (i find the plastic ones better, the alloy ones shake screws like ******y!)
The body has taken a few one hits too, but its not a minter in any case, hence the tramp nickname its gained! Also the majority of the chrome is finally gone off the chassis lol. More gone out the wheels too, and the tires are now near enough slicks.
Anyway, some pics:

-
really? you live and learn, was told it was a GH2, no real interest in either car so I never bothered finding out.
-
pic of the chrome pumpkin and Super Hornet.

-
Does the GH2 have servos, speed controller, motor etc?
it does, just checked and it has a old receiver too. Just noticed it has the top of one body post damaged too.
-
Super Hornet, it works fine and isnt smashed, but needs radio gear and is in secondhand cond. 30
Chrome Midnight Pumpkin, no electrics, new built, never run. Boxed 55
FF02 306 Maxi, used but working fine, no radio gear, boxed. 35
Classic Midnight pumpkin, no radio gear, shells badly painted and scuffed but no cracks - 45
-
Did it the hard way, fiskars and a lot of sanding

i have never bothered trimming them before but did my runner mini with a hobby knife the other day as the constant rolls were bending them lol. not a neat job thou, it really doesnt need to be on that car! it will sand them itself next time it goes out!

Picked a monster beetle up.
