last time i had 3 racing shocks on my hb 2010 they came with extra pistons 2-3 holes the ones fitted were single hole and stiff, so open them up and change them then refil with 30ish weight oil and off you go, they work a treat
mine arrived this morning from Gold star(thanks guys), already given its top coat of orange (thanks to the great october weather). Really pleased with this as although its different to the original it still manages to capture the spirit and evoke the memories for me of the glory days of rc.
Strange that the only place I could find with the sand rover in stock was gold star
Ive seen a lot of original avante fans say they hate it, its ugly, a slur on the name but i suspect a lot will buy one if only to have the complete avante family and it should also send avante prices high as mk2 owners clammer for the earlier versions or even give younger owners who only know the mk2 a reason to visit here for a look around at tamiya history, at least it kind of makes the df-03 interesting. So well done tamiya from me.
Dont bother with the ansmann packs even if they are dirt cheap, really not much cop i had two and chucked them out total waste, no punch, no power! sorry to be doom and gloom. stay clear of the carson packs aswell, even worse!
Hi, i put the hp kit on a hopper, as i didnt want to cut the body either i used a small washer between the body and chassis(at rear) and then screwed it down, worked a treat never had any probs!
Sounds good to me, not to busy this time of year aswell i would imagine. Is there any interest or will the meet up die a death and i'll be back to running around the nuffield est on my lonesome again[]
Just 1.10 buggies for me nowadays, did run nitro but now hurn tracks gone! to much hassle anyhow, tried touring car racing found it a bit dull although your spoilt for choice if you want to race as tracks are all over the place down here. Seem to spend most time trying to find somewhere good to go off road these days more than actually driving! cheers Dave
