  1. Ok! I´ve tried to buy the MFA-motor on ebay, but the seller wont ship it to Sweden. Do You know if I can get it some where else?
  2. How does the motor in this kit compare to the technigold?
  3. I´ve used the BZ in just about all my models including the Sand Scorcher. No problems what so ever until the motor in my SS sucked in to much dust and finaly died after several years of bashing. I can really recommend this motor for the SS as it makes it a blast to drive. I must confess I´ve never checked the temperature of the motor though.
  4. Hi guys Does anyone know if the steering knuckles would fit my 1985 Optima?
  5. I really hope they will sell a painted body as well...
  6. A Monster Beetle based on some other chassis then the ORV will save me some money as I wont be buying it.
  7. Hi guys I´m trying to assemble a couple of Scorpions. I´m really an srb kind of guy, but I really enjoy working on these classics. I was a bit confused when some of my parts were different from the others and one of the gearboxes had a differential installed. I now know that one of the buggies is the Turbo-version. Unfortunately the body and radiobox is missing. I´ve ordered a Turbo Scorpion-body from Kamtec (And got a Scorpion-body for free!) but it dont feel right to use a yellow radiobox for it so I went for a black one instead. I´ve learned that there´s quite a few versions of the Scorpion and have also heared that one Turboversion did in fact have a black radiobox. I can´t find any pics of it though. Is this info correct? Did the TS have a black box at some time? Cheers!
  8. Hi guys! What kind of grease do You use in Your gearboxes besides Tamiya original grease? I find that the Tamiya original grease has very small tubes and doesn´t last that long. What kind of grease can be used instead? What kind of grease should be avoided with the plastic gears in mind? Thanks, Mattias
  9. Don´t think there will be any spares for the Fighting Buggy. If so the bay would be filled by now. Perhaps this re-release will be a modern classic?
  10. Got my Fighting Buggy! Very well packed and Swift shipping from Germany to Sweden.
  11. Does anyone know this seller...? http://www.modellbau-seidel.de/ Fairly good price...
  12. Hi guys Does anyone know if the re-re tires fit vintage rims? My rims are ok but the tires are rotten dry..
  13. Haven´t decided just yet. Might go for the Kyosho Beetle instead. But I really want a couple of Fighting Buggy body-kits, but they are no were to be found! Wasn´t ebay loaded with spares for the Buggy Champ just after release?
  14. Ok! Just to be sure, I can use lipo on both the teu-101 and teu-104 as longs as I use a 2-cell lipo and a separate voltage cut-off, correct? Can You recommend a suitable battery for our vintage Tamiya buggies?
  15. Hi guys I´m re-opening this old post. Does anyone have any experience from Tamiyas life (1100 or 2200) and/or made a comparison with lipo? Is it possible to use a 2-cell lipo on Tamiyas original 7,2v brushed esc?
  16. Another fantastic rere from Tamiya! I´m a bit surprised no one is selling parts for it yet? I´m looking to buy a body and a front bumper. For starters that is...
  17. Well gents, that is the problem. Some get it to work and some don´t. It seems it´s just blind luck if you get an working diff. I will try the set-up with a really strong loctite and ceramic balls. If this doesn´t do the trick I will remove it, trow it in the bin and forget I´ve ever heard about it in the first place.
  18. Lol, yeah I´ve heard that one before as well. But strangely some guys seem to get them working and it would be really nice to know what the secret is.
  19. Hi guys! I know I´ve seen a tread about this before but I just cant find it again. I´m having a lot of trouble getting it right. My last diff was set-up as per manual and always started to slipp after a few minutes of running. I have now installet ceramic balls and used a very fine sandpaper on the pressure plates after getting this advice here on TC. I have not tried it in my car yet but if I screw it fully in and then screw it out one quarter of a turn it feels pretty loose but it´s not very smooth. If I want it to be completely without binding I´ll have to unscrew it almost a full turn which doesn´t feel right. Perhaps this is as good as it gets....? Please help!!! Thanks, Mattias
  20. I´m opening the motor-discussion again... I love the srb`s and my runners are in original shape or modified. My mission at the moment is to assemble a rough copy of the crp "super buggy" made with homemade parts and a set of decent coilover shocks. But I want a nice motor to go with the package... One of my runners have the Tamiya Super Stock BZ fitted and it´s a blast to drive. Does anyone know if there is an even more powerful (brushed) motor in 540 size? My esc can handle 13T and 8,4v. Stun me!!!
  21. Many thanks guys! Back to the drawingboard then. Love the pink shocks btw...
  22. Ok! I´m not entirely sure what You mean with that 90 degree aluminium thingy though.. Are we talking about a longer version of the original stiffener? Would the 3mm chassis need such strengthening? You wouldn´t have a blueprint of the butterfly-chassis by any chance...?
  23. Hi guys. I´m trying to make a copy of the "super buggy" using homemade parts. I have a rough copy of the long and wide butterfly-chassis which I made in 2mm fibreglass. Once I mounted the gearbox and front end I realized that it has way too much flex. My question is how thick the original chassis was?
