blitzer beetle is it similar to sand scorcher?
The_incredible_Fred replied to 3speeder's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hey, don't forget the exhaust ... -
OK, F103 is a good idea.....they are cheap as well. But what is with the Porsche 956 and the Lamborghini and so on. This chassis look pretty similar....and you will get a driver figure as well (not the same one, but similar). Or you can take the driver figure from the re-used ferrari perhaps..... The glass color wouldn't bother me....but what is with the wheels, do you think, you can take the one from the static? And: Has somebody the exact wheelbase size from the 934/935..[?] Fred I forgot: And where i can get the tires??

Hey Guy's, i have a couple of stupid questions about the first two Tamiya Models. I see a lot of the static versions for reasonable prices in EBAY, it should be possible to build a nice R/C car out of them []. Perhaps, man will not need so much additional parts to build up a runner OR the chassis of another Tamiya car (and better available) will fit as well? A chassis from another brand like KYOSHO or Graupner could fit as well????????????????????

Mounty vs the other 3 Speeds.
The_incredible_Fred replied to sparky(2)'s topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hey Guy's, it is the Blaaaaaaaaaazing Blazer! Perhaps, it is because it was my first one and the parts are terrible to get, but: 1. The car has the best tires. 2. A "strange design" which as some fine details. 3. Is the most seldom of all 3-speed. -
Hey! I asked him already what's the difference between the original one and the replica. The replica doesn't follow the difficult to build lower part. That's where also Tamiya itself had problems to build it. So perhaps they are more for a runner or so....
