Sand Scorcher Box Pics Please
misterclyde replied to mrfreezeuk's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hi Darren, If you mail me on Sat or Sunday I will get these photos taken for you - I just tried to take some now but I need the flash ont his time of night and it bounces of the box, so it will be best to take photos in natural light, however I leave too early in the mornings and get home too late at night to do this during the week! Cheers Clyde -
Now that's a nice trick. Just to clarify, even though it already crystal clear but just incase - you mean do all the masking then hit it with a light coat of clear coat and then apply the colours? Sounds amazing!! - I wish i learnt this last year when i did about 7 scorcher shells

Was It Just My Computer Or Was The Site Down Today?
misterclyde replied to Shodog's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
Hi Apologies for dragging this topic back up and I apologise if i am wrong, but i thought i last updated my membership on the 29th of jan last year. I have just had my subscription reminder email and i can no longer access my showroom etc. I have just checked paypal and i did pay my subscription on 29th jan 2007. I know its only a week, but if it has been promised it would be good for it to be implemented? Please let me know if it is possible or not to restore my account. If not i will pay it again this evening instead of next week Thanks Clyde -
Hi, J-Man makes box art from and rear bumper and cages but he is in the UK, but he does ship worldwide. They are excellent - you can see them on my SRBs: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...74&id=13669 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...72&id=13669 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...73&id=13669 There are other members who make alloy parts as well, I think Shodog and also Blacque Jacque. There maybe others as well, but I can't remember Hope that helps! Cheers Clyde

I had this problem on one of my rangers - i resolved it by loosing the large front post and moving it up the small post a bit more (so dont have the big post as low as it can go). Hopefull y that makes sense??!?! Cheers Clyde

Hi all, I think this is a ball diff - it came out of a ford ranger. It seems to be a nylon gear and it seems locked as when i turn one wheel it turns the same way. Does anyone know which company made this diff? Thanks Clyde

Hi, When I started my chromed SRB's I cleaned and polished everything but found the gear box casing hard to do because of all the 'knooks and crannies'. The easiest parts were bits like the dampers, roll bar, body mounts, chassis, etc. The box art bumpers come from TC member J-Man (ebay id is lightiningrapid), they are extremley well crafted! Rad does some amazing box art chrome rims and Twinset is the fella for the chassis plates. There are also a lot of other very talented people on here who make custom SRB parts - TC member cherrybomb is one of them and Mike00Top makes great custom exhausts. Once you have everything in bits you gonna need a lot of elbow grease!, or you could just ship all the parts out to a plating company who will clean it up for you then plate it. (not the cheapest option tho!) I have been working on my 3 since last October and I will be taking final photos of them this week so I can put them in my showroom, but you can see all 3 work in progress here: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...82&id=13669 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...84&id=13669 http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...83&id=13669 Cheers, and I look forward to seeing your blinged up Scorcher! What Paint Codes For Ford Ranger Xlt?
misterclyde replied to rangerproject's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hi, check on tamiya 101.com for paint codes. I would use Tamiya Spray paints. I did one of my ranger shells following the codes on 101.com and it came out looking great (not put it in my showroom yet though!) Good luck! Clyde -

Help Identifying this from a Super Champ gearbox
misterclyde replied to misterclyde's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Hi all, Thank you for the pointers! (especially your great tutorial Joel - I'll save that to my desktop for future use!) The gear has been identified now so all is good! Thanks again to all! Clyde -
Hi all, Thanks to Kev the Rev for telling me how to upload picutures to the forum Please can anyone help me ID this gear - is it a CRP gear? Thanks in advance --- OK, it seems even with step by step instructions I cannot insert pictures into my posts - so, if you could look at my wanted items that would be great!

If paypal decide in his favour then your paypal balance will be -£165 - they do not take money from your bank account - they just wait until you recieve more funds and then your balance will go back up - until you reach £0 or go into credit. This happened to me once, except I was the buyer - I purchased a dell and a flat screen monitor - all worked great for 3 days and then the screen stopped working - it was dead!. I asked the buyer to refund the cost of a secondhand screen (£80 on ebay at the time) and they refused, so I complained to paypal - they investigated and said they could not do anything about it and found in the sellers favour - so i would guess they will find in your favour in the end! Cheers, Clyde

The swines - My brat made it through this time! But I have had customs sting me for a few items, usually Parcel Force will fulfill the delivery so you should get a letter from them telling you it has a charge. It will tell you to pay the charge (this can be done by phone or by post) and once the charge is paid they will complete the delivery in the following couple of days, but they also add an admin charge (I think its £13 - but it might be £8) Hope that helps and fingers crossed you get it soon. Cheers, Clyde
