  1. While googling for Egress stuff, I randomly came across my old thread. I didn't reallise I'd got a reply. Thankyou chaps. Elliott.
  2. I'll see how I'm fixed (what I have to run). Elliott.
  3. Ooooh-kay. I'm breaking lurker cover here. I'm interested... A couple of questions then. I'd like to go the crazy balls out mod chassis route rather than a stock chassis or a crawler. 1. What is the cheapest way to get a standard Clod? eBay or one of the kits from a shop? 2. What is best aftermarket chassis on the market? I'm after low slung and cool. Would a crawler chassis actually do the job here? Am I looking at a Clodzilla IV or one of the Junfac chassis: http://www.junfac.com/shop/index.php?main_...dex&cPath=2 The stealth chassis looks good but is out of stocks. The other chassis seem to do much the same thing but which is the best. Or is the 'Zilla a better option? Thanks for your advice. Elliott.
  4. I'll be around scratching my *******. I have nothing ready, but I may be out on the Saturday or it may be a DVD night. Elliott. Reading Bash's 'OTHER' local attendee.
  5. The mud around here is getting ****tier and ****tier. It's even getting on the roads. Can I recommend some heavy water proofing for Sunday. I'll think about you when I'm in the warm and dry in Newbury. I'm sorry I've got to get my carpet racing groove on. Elliott.
  6. 'ello Ryck, I'm sure if your dad has had the same experiences of Fuel Cells as me he won't want to talk about them. :-) Say Hello to him for me. Guys, I have a big decision to make on the 20th, unless you want to break out the racer buggies and join me in the warm and dry of Newbury? Elliott.
  7. The current going at the RB site is 'sticky muddy'. Although the rain this week will probably give us more puddles and sloppy mud.
  8. Hello Guys, I may be racing on Newbury on that Sunday. Although it looks like the biggest RB yet. I'll have to see. Elliott.
  9. An LRP V7.1 stuck onto the battery tunnel. The heatsinks have a little gap to the pod of the bodyshell. You can still access the setup buttons and pots. There is enough room for an Acoms receiver on that side too. Elliott.
  10. You'll want to get in contact with 'Chain Driven' and Mud Plugger'. I know they are in the Portsmouth area. The come up to the Reading Bashes. Good Guys. Elliott.
  11. Check the packaging before you buy it. The black fibreglass cross shaped piece should be in with the bladder pistons orings and other gubbuns.
  12. SUPER Astute pinions and spurs are the same pitch as DF-03 gears. Astute/Madcap gears are known as 48dp METRIC pitch, which is different to the 48dp we normally use. Elliott.
  13. The front shock tower comes in the front Hi-Cap shock pack. The Egress is a fantastic car. Far more fun than the Dark Impact. Elliott.
  14. The problem with building an Egress from parts or indeed from a cheaper donor car like a Vanquish or Avante 2001 is that all the parts are so expensive it's not cost effective. I know because I tried to upgrade a Vanquish to Egress spec and adding up the cost of the parts and donor car it would cost 200-300. Also an Egress isn't an Egress without the front lower shock mounts (they help make the Egress shocks more upright) and they are incredibly rare. It's actually probably cheaper, quicker and easier to get a complete good condition Egress. Bide your time, bid smart on eBay and you can pick up some real bargains. Elliott.
  15. If they do rerelease the Astute, they will be making a few more pairs of those rear Hybrid spike tyres, that because they also are the kit rear tyres for the Egress have been going for over 40 a pair on eBay. Elliott.
