  1. The one that triggered my rc interest is finally available again! This is absolutely GREAT NEWS! Thanks Tamiya!
  2. I'll hang on with Miga and WRC, an enclosed (new) rally chassis with variable and good ground clearance; splash and dust proof (well, almost) And Land Rover; XC style and 3-speed! and Land Rover again... Phew! Lets have it Tamiya! I must be mad, but I'm thinking of opening a Tamiya specialist shop...
  3. Hi there! I know excactly how your feelings are, my dad died after having his sentence a year earlier in 2005. What you are describing also includes what I felt, even my rc interest came down to a "zero". I didn't find any joy with it at all. But after a while the spark and interest came back slowly, and I found myself consentrating fully with some rc builds etc. late at night when both my kids and wife had gone to bed. When I started up again, it was very valuable, because when life strikes you hard like this it is nice to have a hobby working as a therapy besides the human one like family and friends. My advice is: Force your self to start with small projects when you have some "positive" moments. After a little while you will probably start enjoying it more and more! My best wishes! Solan
  4. You're most welcome! Love can be a dangerous thing be involved in... The only ones I know of outside the forum is not english, but one's been a chairman of the norwegian club, he's now a member of the board. He's crazy about all english stuff on wheels; LR, Morgan, camper. Of course they also visited the place where "Aidensfield" is recorded. (We'd like to too... (my wife) If you're coming to Norway, be sure to let us know, even visit the LRforum to get tips on where, why and what. They have an english spoken thread too. Cheers!
  5. Sure, there must be pictures! BTW, what a coincidence! May I ask who's visiting? I'm a member of the norwegian LRforum too, as a LR owner... I remember there was some talk about an english couple visiting Norway with a bobtailed Range Rover - It spread as a fire in dry grass..... It actually was interest in Tamiya 4WD cross country that caught my interest in a proper 1:1 4WD...Land Rover!
  6. Ehhh, should I? You never know, you know...
  7. Of course, it's excluding. There should be no reason for not writing in english! But, we could do both : Hva snakker han om? What's he talking about? Then you could pick up some strange norwegian language... At least you would then be a hero in the norwegian Land Rover community, especially if you happens to know Land Rovers too..... (Yes, I,m a Land Rover fan..)
  8. Shodog! - You're my everyday hero - today! It works! - I have been muuuch toooo sloow in the movements, it seems. Now this long build is very close to be finished, only a year after I bought it.... Thanks! (I did look at your painting advice among others, and now it looks very good!)
  9. Hi! I there anyone having the same trouble? I've tried reprogramming the MFC several times, but the turn signals won't work. I move the right stick down, then in direction left or right, I've read the manual - although not a good one... I know the leds work, because the hazard signal works perfect, everyting else also. Oh, and I have the Futaba 4vv... Any ideas? Thanks!
  10. Good idea, I will be there if nothing comes in the way, not too long to travel, from Drbak.... Noe lett offroad ogss? Fin mulighet til bli ferdig med et par biler... hobbyen kommer litt i siste rekke for tiden. Sitter frst nw og skrur sammen High Lift'n, karrosseriet har vrt ferdig lakkert en stund... Are you coming too Andreas from Royken? - I bought the 1025 Hummer from you, it's still in the box.... Stig Solan
  11. Hi! Thought I´d share this with you XC fans! By centering the fixation point of the rear damper to the trail arms, the damper piston/shaft won´t pitch. - Result, a rear end that actually works. See pics! This is only a test, and first run made it clear, it´s way smoother than original. The stiff "scraping" sound when you push the rear end of a XC/CC01 down is gone, back is a soft plush.... i´m going to cut away the middle section of the "tube" that holds the screw in the original version, and then center the end eye in the middle there, and then tread a screw (maybe with a nut) through the original hole, but with the damper end in the middle of this cutaway section. With me???
  12. Hi! I have a @12 racing Modena, it´s fast, fun and very scale, BUT no options, -have to "order" parts for it, no oil dampers, the only compatible part is the motor.... Go for the Tamtech´s! I haven´t buildt my onroad tamtech yet, but I´m sure it´s going to be fun and probably brushless...
  13. Hi! It´s like that with a good hobby, it shifts from time to time, but if it´s something you really appreciate, you will always be back! I had photography as my first real hobby, it´s still a hobby, but with a house, cabin, boat, car - and at last a Land Rover...new hobby...?) and not to mention, wife, two small kids, there´s not much time left. As you can see, there will likely be less time for you to enjoy any hobby, but you will probably enjoy it more the times you actually have the time! (Maybe I should take may LR, and pay you a visit, when you are offroading...) I think TC and Tamiya will be around in your (and a lot of us others) head..! Have fun with the Volvo "valp" - Just take care, it is a little more "serious" to flip it on the side
  14. The Ferrari and it´s builder - WOW! - The engine sound - ooohhh! 12 working sylinders, nothing short of amazing! -Think about driving it with an rc system - it would have been the ultimate rc experience!
