  1. Tower Hobbies sells a 9x9 square peice of polycarbonate. I think Parma makes it. Here is a link: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDA78&P=7 Hope this helps! -Al
  2. Hey everyone, Let me know if you think this will work: I have 2 PayPal accounts, if I was to transfer the funds from the Mastercard into my other PayPal account balance, would I be able to use that account to pay for the auction? This is the only logical thing I could come up with. -Al
  3. Hey All, I just ran into this problem and I don't know how to resolve it. I don't have enough funds to pay Jason RC with another credit card or anything for that matter. The only card I have is a MasterCard and now I am stuck. What should I do?? Am I going to have to get a money order to pay him? Mastercard stinks as far as I am concerned! Please give me some advice! Thanks, Al
  4. Hey Everyone, I filed my claim with PayPal and the seller refunded my money 100%. He didn't seem too happy about it though! But I came to the conclusion that he was the one at fault. He used a differnt method of shipping than what his auction stated and he didn't inform me that he was going to do this. He also failed to get a tracking and confirmation number. I let him know that confirmation numbers are there to protect him and that he should look out for himself and always get one! So, I am happy to be refunded but I am sad that a vintage Tamiya kit is lost in limbo somewhere and may never be seen again. [] Thanks to everyone for giving me advice on this matter! -Al
  5. It was a local shipment! We both live in the United States. He lives in Colorado and I live in Pennsylvania! No overseas shipping involved!! So, actually $15 is a bit expensive for using the lowest form of shipping from USPS! -Al
  6. Hey Everyone, I did not give him specific instructions on shipping the kit because the auction stated that it would shipped via UPS Ground, which would have automatically had a tracking number. The seller shipped via USPS without informing me of using this method and did not get a tracking number or confirmation number. I feel that I am entitled to the total amount, but I feel bad for him that he lost the kit. The kit cost me $208.00 including shipping. I paid $15 for shipping. I sent him an email explaining my decision and he doesn't seem to be too happy about it. Oh well, I will see what he has to say in his next email! I will keep ya posted! Thanks again for everyone's input!!! -Al
  7. Well, I filed my claim with PayPal. I feel kinda bad though. I know that as a consumer that I am entitled to the full refund since the goods were never received. But the seller is nice guy and now he seems kind of upset and mad that I filed my claim. He was suggesting to split the cost in half so that we both lose out equally. But I gave it some honest thought and he is the one at fault here. He shipped the item uninsured, didn't get a tracking number, confirmation number, and doesn't have the label number! He also used a method of shipping that wasn't stated in his auction. Should I go after the full refund or take his offer for splitting the loss equally?? -Al
  8. Hey Everyone, This whole situation stinks. I have not yet received the kit and I have no idea where it could be. I don't think customs would be holding it up anywhere because it was a domestic delivery. Wed both live in the states. The seller contacted me again yesterday and said that he went to the post office to see if there was anything he could do, and they told him "No, not without a label number". They said that it could be possible that the label fell off somewhere during transit, but the seller doubts it because he taped the label on EXTREMELY well! Now I need to know what to do about this. I used PayPal buyer credit to purchase the kit. I know I have 45 days until after the auction to file a claim. I know that I would win the claim because the seller has absolutely NO Proof that he shipped the kit. I know this because if he did, we would be able to find out where the kit actually is right now! Anyways, I am unsure of how to go about this because the seller seems seems really cool and is a nice guy. But at the same time, I feel like why should I pay for something that I never received?? Then again, he shouldn't have to take a loss either. What would you guys do in this situation?? I am torn!! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks All, Al Anderson PHILADELPHIA EAGLES=NFC CHAMPIONS...FINALLY!!!!!
  9. Hey Jeckler, Thanks for the input. I know that there is no such thing as USPS ground, but I couldn't think of the name for it! LOL! It was definitely Parcel Post that he used. I did use PayPal credit to pay for it. I hope I can be reimbursed but I really want the kit though! This stinks. I am going to try to work it out with him and see where that gets me!
  10. Hey, He didn't offer the option of buying insurance. On the auction it says the kit would be shipped via UPS Ground....but he shipped it via USPS ground and charged $15 for shipping. The seller did not get a tracking or confirmation number from the post office. So based on his auction shipping method, he was supposed to ship it by UPS ground. This is a tough one. I really have no doubt in my mind that he did ship the kit though. He really is a reasonable and friendly seller. I am torn here though because I feel that I shouldn't pay for something that I never received, but then again he doesnt deserve to lose out either. It is like a catch 22. I am giving it until next Tuesday before I ask him what we should do about this. Thatnks for the input everyone!! -Al
  11. Hey Everyone, Well, it has been almost a month and the Thundershot still has not arrived yet. I am beginning to give up hope on this one. The seller seems like a really good guy and is a power seller on eBay, so I know that he isn't trying to rip me off. The only thing now is where do we go from here?? I mean we both don't deserve to lose out on this deal. What kind of agreement would you guys try if you were in my shoes?? Should I ask him to give me half of my money back or all of it or what?? This whole situation stinks! Let me know what you guys think! -Al
  12. Thanks Dave! The only thing is that this is a domestic delivery. I live in Philly and the seller lives in Colorado. I think it should have been here by now. I won 4 other auctions at the same time that I won this kit, and all of the other packages arrived in a timely fashion, even one from Hong Kong. I am about 65% in panic mode! If it doesn't come by this week, then I will be in 100% panic mode! [xx(]. Keep your fingers crossed for me! -Al
  13. Hey Everyone, I won a NIB Thundershot on eBay a few weeks ago. The seller shipped it out on December 27th from Colorado via USPS. I still haven't received the kit yet. I am very nervous because I have received 2 kits from Hong Kong that were shipped 3 days after this kit was shipped. The seller did not get a tracking number, confirmation number, and does not have the label number. The seller seems like a good guy and has been responding to my emails. At this point, I am thinking that the kit is lost in the mail. I contacted my post office and they said there was nothing they could do without a tracking number and confirmation number. The seller also had no luck with his post office. Has anyone else ever had these problems and di the package ever make it to your door?? I am just wondering how long I should wait and see if it will be delivered before I give up hope. I would think that the post office would have some kind of database where they can look up my address and see if there are any pending deliveries. Any advice???? Thanks, Al
  14. I just bought a NIB Vanquish from Jason's Store for $325. I do intend to build it, but every time I open the box, it just look too nice to tear into it. My guess is that it will be built before the weekend is over! Jason is top notch seller by the way on eBay!! He has the fastest overseas shipping I have ever seen!!
  15. The Fighter Buggy is like a kid's toy in my opinion. I would go for a kit that has oil filled shocks at least! The Gravel Hound might be a good place to start! Or if ya want a truck, I would go with the Blackfoot Extreme and get some new oil filled shocks for it! These are just my opinions! -Al
  16. Hey Everyone, I just bought 2 kits from Jason in Hong Kong. I live in the USA. I have never dealt with ayone from overseas before. So should I expect to have to pay a customs charge or anything like that?? Thanks, -Al
  17. Awesome! Thanks Guys!! I heard he was good, but I just wanted to get other people's opinions that have dealt with him to make me feel more secure! This is the 1st time I have ever bought something from overseas on the Bay! Hopefully the kits will be here by the end of the week or early next week!! Thanks again! -Al
  18. Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a GREAT holiday!! Anyway, I just ordered a NIB Vanquish and Hornet Re-release from Jason's Stores. I have never done business with him before and was just wondering if anyone has done business with him and what thier experience was like?? How long does it typically take him to ship to the states?? Thanks everyone! -Al
  19. I use a washing technique. Thin out some balck paint with water, make it very watery, almost like the texture of milk and then just brush it on. The paint will fill in the cracks and leave the protruding parts as they are. You may need to do a few times. Hope this helps! -Big Al
  20. Hey Siv, I have 2 HPI RS4-3s. In my opinion, it is an awesome kit for the money. It comes with a 2 speed transmission and pretty fast engine. I have never had any problems with them. There a re a ton of hop=up parts available as well. I think Powerline makes a bunch of aluminum parts for the RS4-3. Also, I would recommend the kit version (RS4-3 SS) over the RTR version. The kit comes with some better parts than the RTR version. Besides, it is a really fun kit to build! And I am against the whole RTR thing anyways, but that is another story! Well, I hope my opinion helps ya out if you are looking into buying one!
  21. I got NIB R91CP for $104 about a year ago...it must have slipped through the cracks!
  22. Hey Wireless? Where are you from? The new MINI hasn't hit the states yet. I think they will be here around August. They are pretty cool looking, but I still like the hard top better. I don't think the MINI's engine is bad. You have to expect problems with a brand stinking new car make. It seems like they have already worked alot of the kinks out already, but you are right, there is room for improvement. I have had my MINI since last October and never had any problems. In fact it is the best car I have ever owned as far as gas milage, acceleration, and overall fun goes. I am also sorry about the typo, Mini, when it should be MINI! Anyways, I just thought it was cool to see a Tamiya logo on a MINI!
  23. I still find it strange that Tamiya has not yet released a static model of the new Mini. It's obvious that they have obtained rights to do this because of the R/C version. Hmmmm....hopefully soon!
  24. Hey All, Being an owner of a 2004 Mini Cooper, I check out Mini sites from time to time. Scroll down to the 12th pic and look at the logo on the door!! Pretty cool! http://www.northamericanmotoring.com/forum...ead.php?t=27461
  25. Is it a Playstation 2 in the upright position?? haha, just kidding!
