Great picture pushrod,
I want one!!
Again, the wheels are big like Tamiya. Why does it look so good in the pic and so odd on the RC car?

Guys,
It looks like I was wrong. I know its a bad pic, but this is an ebay auction for the homogalation papers of the Lancia 037 for group B rallying. So this must be pics of the street version. The wheels look pretty darn tall. Tamiya must have modeled after this version.
I agree with supergreg, someone should post a pic of the Tamiya's 037 with the alfa wheels. I'd still like to see it.

Thanks for the pic OCD. I still think the Alfa wheels look to be the right diameter. Look at the pic pushrod put up and see how the size difference is almost the same as OCD's pic. If I could find tires that were a little taller, and fit the alfas wheels, I think they would be perfect for the gravel setup Lancia 037. I'll need to lower the body in respect of the chassis, then raise the chassis to gain ground clearence and I think it would work.
I will say this, I know you guys have a lot more experiance with Tamiya RC cars then I do, so I should probably take you word for it. I just really dislike those tall wheels.

I planned on making mine RWD only. I want to simulate the drivetrain the real car had. The TA03R-S chassis works perfect for this because the real car was mid engined RWD. The different overall diameters from the Alfa fronts and stock rears shouldn't cause driving issues then.

Good pic Mr_pushrod,
I haven't seen a pic of the 037 with the wheels that big of diameter before. The fronts on the pic look to be a smaller diameter than the rears. I think a pair of the alfa wheels in front with the stock Lancia 037 wheels in the back would match your pic pretty darn close. What do you think?

Take a look at the 2 pics bleow. THe first is of a 1/32 slot car by FLY. THey are usually really good about making thier cars to scale. The next pic is obviusly of the Tamiya TA03R-S Lancia. The wheel arches on both look to be about the same, its just the wheels on the Tamiya that seem too large in diameter, with little tire side wall. I don't think the Alfas wheels will look too lost in those wheel wells.

Will the wheels from the ALFA Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA (M-02M chassis) fit the TA03R-S chassis Lancia 037. The wheels on the 037 are too big in diameter compared to the real thing. I think the smaller wheels from the Alfa look more to scale.
Thanks
