Vintage, yet rather poignant comedy

Firstrly - Drummers are the backbone of the band! [] Secondly - Stulec, you are one of the lucky ones! Thirdly - If we all used LHS's then ebay wouldnt be anywhere near as challenging/fun! -

"Have to say I agree with gb99 (unfortunately)." id="size1"> Is there something wrong with agreeing with me? Is it coz I ias ginger? (said in the same vain as Ali G)[] Anyway, I can concur music shops are indeed the same, I play drums and you get the same things there, ooh check out my solos blah blah, load of pretentious twoddle if you ask me. Wheres the love, man? -

[] Ahh the 80's simpler times. Maybe back in the day things were different, but...... As soon as you say you are looking for something for an older Tamiya car at most of the LHS in my area they think that they can charge a load more for it? Why should I support that?? I have also witnessed blatent rudesness to people who are trying to get into the hobby, if you don't know what the latest and greatest is then your nobody worth bothering about. Why Should I support that?? I can understand the economics behind the argument, no custom no business, but I think some LHS's should really work on their attitudes, before blaming others for loss of business. I am not saying this is the same everywhere I am sure there are loads of great LHS owners that help out and bend over backwards, I am just saying this is the case in my area. -
Some very nice kits there, and finally some more choice for those of us that arent overly keen on the touring cars. I wonder what motor limit the ESC is??
-
Did anyone also happen to notice that the official Tamiya site actually came in 9th???? [?]

A very trusting person - they are still out there!

Snetterton Spring Drive: Where is everyone staying
gingerboy98 replied to wldnas's topic in Meetings & Events
Well, things are good. I got my snett ticket yesterday and today managed to get a room at the Breckland lodge. Now I really have to finish some of my projects. -
letting others drive your cars......
gingerboy98 replied to mymonsterbeetleisbroken's topic in General discussions
At the start of last year I had finished my first midnight pumpkin, my Dad was over shortly after to drop something off and when he turned up I was outside test driving it. Anyway he asked for a go as it was a car he had when we me and my brother got our cars as kids. So, ok I thought, he knows how easy these things roll so he will be careful.....well, I was right, he didnt roll it. No. What he did to however was drive it full pelt into the front of one of my neighbours cars. Which car? A brand new Jaguar S type! In silver! That then had a black scatch at the front. Surfice to say it was quite a while after that, that I went out to test any more cars and I dont think the pumpkin has ever been back out there. And to think when we were young Dad was always the one telling us to mind cars with them. Tut, I dont know. -
Selling parts from my site for collection at Snett
gingerboy98 replied to gingerboy98's topic in Meetings & Events
but....I do have box after box piled up and my cars not that big [] Ok, well, if anyone does want any parts before snett for collection let me know anyway and I can bring them along. -
I have a question regarding trading at snetterton. As most of you no doubt know by now I run: www.oldertamiyaparts.co.uk Now, if I was to take orders up to the day before the Snetterton meet and not charge delivery, but bring them along to Snetterton for collection, would this be considered as onsite trading? Would I be allowed to offer to do this? Please advise as I have had a few people already ask me to do this. Ta. Si. P.S - There will hopefully be a stock update between now and then.
