  1. Hi No need for that, and welcome to the club. Here is a thread which probably covers your questions and more: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=52567 Cheers Fritjofarnold
  2. Hi mate I always enjoy to read your philosophical and interesting thoughts on the why we are so hooked up on this hobby. I noticed you had a "break" a short time ago and it is great to have you active again Even though I have not posted so much on the Forum I have been on the club some years and have discovered much of the same as you. One reason there are fewer discussions could be that some newer members are afraid to ask questions or debate fearing the response. Another reason could be that many topics have been discussed earlier and even many times. For instance, how many "what will be the next rerelease?" threads do we have? Cheers Fritjofarnold
  3. Could be the Mk1 (earlier version) of the Hot shot. (Differances Mk1/MK2, check: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...&sid=14456) Cheers Fritjof
  4. Thank you for the added info there on the Dune Buggy, H. Come to think about it, I also have this replica of the Fox, called the Killer which I believe is difficult to get now. It was probably manufactured in Taiwan. Here is link for more photos and information about it for those interested: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.a...8&sid=14456 Fritjofarnold
  5. Hi I have this vintage Dune Buggy Chassis by Tamiya, kit no. 7049. The kit includes a two speed transmission, factory assembled gear box with sterrable front wheels and rubber like tires. It has a roll bar, drive gears, gear shift lever, buggy tires, UM3 battery box, a front bumper and an Ackermann steering system. I have not seen any others around here on the club. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  6. Hi Gordon. Check these threads: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...0arms&st=20 and http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...p;hl=carbon+959 Have a nice weekend. Fritjof
  7. Hi Be prepared to pay a high price for new R parts as they are sought after. You can search eBay or post an ad here. It is also possible to buy carbon rear arms. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  8. Wow, that is some impressive work! I really like it, especially the shock system. How does it handle now? Cheers Fritjofarnold
  9. When the first pics of the SS2010 was published, a couple of members meant there were differances between the original and rerelease nosecone. I believe it was mentioned in the thread Badboy recommends at around page 60 or so Cheers Fritjofarnold
  10. Hi In this thread there are some photos of another one: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...l=holiday+buggy Cheers Fritjofarnold
  11. Putting up a kind of valuation service could be a solution to these questions. I am sure a couple of members would be interested to offer such service for a fee. Perhaps a topic should also be dedicated to this question in the forum, telling to first search eBay for completed auctions, not expect immediate answers, not just one-posters, do some contribution etc. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  12. Hi It varies. If it is a new build or fairly new build I usually never oil or grease the parts you mention. In those cases I want to keep the model as clean as possible. If many of the parts are used, I do not care and lube/oil. However, I do not oil the dampers on my used SRBs as they tend to drip Cheers Fritjofarnold
  13. Hi Here is the link about Fashine: http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/index.php?...shine&st=40 Cheers Fritjofarnold
  14. Yes, that is correct. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  15. I get annoyed by warnings and commercials on the DVD too. It is the same when you go the movies. You pay for the ticket but have to see lots of commercials before the film was supposed to start. Sometimes I have run out of snacks before the movie begins. I could solve that by buying more snacks though, maybe that bigger M & M bag, Mmmm:) Cheers Fritjofarnold
  16. Hi It is probably worth around 1000 dollars. You can search ebay for completed listings to see what similar items have been sold for. The chassis seems to have dampers in front, so it could be a Hilux chassis (or dampers have just been added) to the Blazer chassis. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  17. Hi As for the c-clip, put a plastic bag around when you remove the clip. If the clip flies, you will find it inside the bag. Saves you some seaching. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  18. It would be awesome if you later made the VW radiocontrolled and used the controller to steer it Cheers Fritjofarnold
  19. Or if you owned all three, threw away two and kept one, that last one would probably be sold for/worth more than $ 1.200 K Cheers Fritjofarnold
  20. Really fun to watch, thanks for sharing the episode LiveSteamMad. Were the cars sponsored by Tamiya or MRC? Have a Happy New Year, folks! Fritjofarnold
  21. The body set box and some other items are possible to pick up from the bay if you want to try to complete your set. Cheers Fritjofarnold
  22. I am sad to hear that this scoundrel has tricked you Thanos. He seems like a real crook. The payment by Western Union I guess is lost, but hopefully you can get a complete refund from Paypal on the first purchase from him. Forwarding this thread might be helpful for your case. It is not just the money lost, but all the time and aggravation involved too. Some kind of feedback system in the trades area has been discussed earlier in the forums, but is maybe open for new considerations now. Southside's story about being scammed seemed so reliable. Could it be that he really got scammed in the first deal, burns all bridges and fools TCers to get even economically? Fritjof
