Involuntarily Shortened Receiver Antennae

If you can see or hear the wheels turning that is even easier. No use for stuntman Mike then -
Involuntarily Shortened Receiver Antennae
fritjofarnold replied to taliesin's topic in General discussions
You don't have to risk the car running away from you to test the distance in question. Just have somebody hold the car off the ground and then you move away with your transmitter. Keep using your transmitter and once your helper says there is no response, then you know the distance. That should work -
Does anybody know where the Astute hexes can be bought, except from eBay? I did not find any there.

Holiday Buggy/Sand Rover Roll Bar Removal
fritjofarnold replied to loaded's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I have been trying to get a couple of roll bars off some of my HB/SR, and the same goes for me. One time I was lucky though, getting it out without snapping the claws. I have seen many roll bars missing claws, so it is common problem I reckon -

Hi I have an old Acoms 7,2 slow battery charger. Model 6N-1200E for Nickel Cadmium batteries. Output is 7,2 V. Do you think it can also charge 8,4 Nickel Cadmium batteries or can it damage the battery? All help appreciated. cheers Fritjofarnold

Thank you for a highly informative thread, Terry! I bought a cheap HS on ebay recently and it had the original bumper, underguard etc. I have taken some photos of the differances, and they can be seen in my showroom. Try http://tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?c...95&id=14456

Sandscorcher Front Body Mount - Differences?

Hi I believe they are. The shaft fits inside the right body post in the second picture as well. The top does not have a mushroom as you can see. cheers Fritjofarnold -
Sandscorcher Front Body Mount - Differences?
fritjofarnold replied to WillyChang's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
I have been wondering on this topic as well. I have discovered that there are at least three different bodyposts for the Sand Scorcher and Rough Rider. Here are two pictures. -
Japan Treasure Online Black Porsche Nib Totoro0607
fritjofarnold replied to loaded's topic in Vintage Tamiya Discussion
Sorry to hear your experience with this seller and paypal Paul. I had a similar discussion with Paypal where a seller confirmed that a nib grasshopper he had for sale was the original one. Upon receiving it, it turned out to be the rerelase of course. After some terrible beauracratic, automatic answers from Paypal, they refused my claim. I feel that the Paypal coverage in many cases is a real joke. I hope you succeed with your claim and do not loose too much on this seller. All the best Fritjofarnold -
Hi Fantastic looking Bruiser I would recommend selling it on an internet auction or similar.
