  1. Well it's been a little while but the body arrived and I have to say I am quite pleased with it for the price:

Lexan seems a little thicker than the original body, and the wing certainly seems sturdier than my origianl (although mine is split in a few places)

Also got the wheels and tyres that they sell which for the price was a great deal! For just over 20 Euros I have a rather new and shiny looking baja champ.

Would definately recommend them if you are not looking for a box art shelf queen.

  2. Hi guys

I am currently rebuilding a Madcap runner.

I have built the gear box with the Astute hop up set ball diff set and it is fully ball raced.

I put plenty of ball diff grease in and followed the instructions to the letter.

The problem is it seems quite stiff when turning the wheels like its too tight. Should this be so or it should it be quite easy to turn?

If it should be free turning what might I have done wrong or what could I check?

    Thanks in advance.

  3. I have too many projects at the moment after a spate of buying so am selling my Bigwig runner.

The car is in need of a strip down clean and rebuild.

Overall the condition is pretty good for the age, it is ball raced, has the Technigold and period radio gear. The speed contoller does not look like the original but am including it anyway. The tyres still have some life in them.

From what I can tell, it is missing the sub chassis part and the front right hand side upper arm is not the right one, I believe its from a Boomerang, it works ok but restricts the shock travel a little.

The body is overall good, there are some splits around the ariel holes and on the nose and some of the stickers are starting to peel but otherwise fine for a runner. It is missing the fenders.

I am asking 80GBP plus 10 UK delivery, postage worldwide will need to be calcualated, but would expect around around 20 GBP, payment via Paypal gift.

    Cheers

  4. Hi Guys,

I am working on a Bigwig runner that I recently won on the bay which is a little less than described, so am in need of a couple of parts.

    I need:

F3 which is the front right hand side upper arm

BP1 - the hook for the under side of the body

    2 x B3 - Wheel adapters

    Sub Chassis

If you can help with these parts, please drop me a message - used is fine as it will be a runner.

    Cheers

    Si.

  5. As those that have read my post in the vintage section, I am really keen to get a Top Force for a runner, not worried about original or re release.

Would love to track down my old one (see picks in showroom)

Drop me a line if you have one to sell.

    Cheers

    Si.

  6. Hi Guys,

I am back into the scene after a long time off and am trying to rebuild my collection that I let go (stupidly) to finance another hobby. This is going fairly well with 7 cars being purchased in less than 1 month.

One of my favourite cars has always been the Top Force but it seems that they are rather scarce these days, so am wondering what if any model I could perhaps use as a chassis simply to put the body on to as I prefer the look more than whats underneath. Are there any cars that will take a TF body with little to no modification?

I know there are some topics that relate to transforming a Manta or TA-XX based cars and a lot of money but like I say I am not worried about it being a true TF just sporting the body and maybe the wheels.

    Thanks in advance

    Simon.

  7. As those who have had a look at my trades recently are probably aware I am having quite a clearout and have now listed a load of stuff on eBay. There are cars, parts for various different cars including the scorcher / rough rider / vanquish / falcon Fast attack Vehicle and various others - including an alloy A5 part for the Terra Scorhcher / Thundershot chassis based cars, there are a couple of old guide books and other bits and pieces. Some good stuff there even if I do say so myself.

    Take a look.

As I had listed some of these parts in my trade room before putting them on the bay I may end the auction early, if you are interested in a particular item.

  8. Desperate times mean desperate measures!

I have decided to sell my collection and all my parts as I need to raise capital.

I am going to start buy offering it as a bulk lot, its how I started my collection buying a bulk lot and let me tell you its a very exciting way to buy (yes I realise that sounds sad, but going through everything and working out whats for what......well thats something I should have done because maybe then I would be able to list all that I have) There is a fair bit of stuff there, 13 vintage cars, a whole bunch of spares/options/tyres some new and lots used for all sorts of cars from the scorcher to the Avante. I have added a few pics and a little more detail in the non member trade room.

Have a look at the link on the home page for the beta classifieds section the full advert is in their. The photos are only a small snapshot of the stuff I have.

If there is no interest in the bulk I may then split but until then, please do not email asking if I have this part for that car.

Please note only a couple of cars that are in my show room are the ones for sale - bigwig, topforce, Madcap, clod. The rest have all been sold and replaced.

    Thanks for looking.

    Si.

  9. Chris,

I dont know if this is a viable option but....

This morning for the 1st time in a while I logged in to the club to see what was going on and to check the manuals section for a little help. I then get the message saying my account subscription has ended and I need to renew it. Now this got me to thinking, could it be an idea if you got a reminder say 10 days before that your account was due for renewal, thus giving you time to sort payment out and still having access to members features.

Apologies if this has already been covered.

    Si.

  10. I would agree with roop

"If I wanted to win the event : Probably a V6 Vectra or Mondeo. They look like a repmobile, nobody gives them a second look but they will sit at 140-150mph all day and cops wouldn't even look at it."

To avoid being pulled over all the time and because I have recently just bought the Mk3 Mondeo V6 Zetec S and know how well they can sit top end on the motorway, its alot of power for little money!

If i was being flash then either Mclaren Mercedes, DB9 or Ferrai F430
