i was told by a guy in a model shop that you can use a polyurethane varnish on lexan shells to protect the sticker for lifting. apparently the polyurethane varnish is very flexible. n e one else tried it?

exactly the same as a wild willy 2 body set? coz i seen this WW body set on ebay, and it looks identical to a WW2 body set except the decals of course. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...0&category=2565

Transmitter/Reciever for multiple cars
omen666(2) replied to Porsche 928_gts_02's topic in General discussions
i was looking at buying seperate recievers and servo's a while back, so i had to only use one controller, but i found that its nearly costs the same amount as if you bought the lot inc transmitter. -
personally i think buggies or offroarders are more fun, also your not restricted to smooth surfaces. out of the 6 cars i have, three are vintage and 100% original, which i basically do not run. the others.....a TL01 ,Wild Willy 2 and a Wild Dagger is all i use, and my personal favourite is my dagger, basically coz im not restricted to any perticular surface.

bought myself some dot4 today from halford's. 5 litres for £12.99, also bought a nice sized container with a lid. i placed my ww2 shell in the container with the fluid in, and popped the lid on. so how long should i leave it i there for? its out in the shed, so it will be in cold temperatures to. -

recently i purchase a wild willy 2 from ebay that was sprayed up metalic blue, it did look ok, but i decided i wanted to strip it back to its original green color. as DOT3 is no longer available, i used nitro fuel instead, it removed the blue paint very easily, but it as left a dark film layer over the body which makes it look real dirty. i read about easy off oven cleaner, but dont think its available in the UK. is there something else i can use to remove this dirty looking layer and maybe clean the body up to near new? another alternative im thinking on doing is re-spraying it. would it be best to use a primer first, or spray directly onto the shell with the desired color? and if i had to re-spray it, what color or shade of green would i need? many thx

How to post items to your showroom....
omen666(2) replied to netsmithUK's topic in Tamiyaclub Rules and Site Usage
yep its exactly the same for me, its plain text no matter what part of the board im on. -
surely the will not very much from month to month. for example, i was looking for a couple of months for a bigwig to show on ebay, then finally one appeared and i bought it for the final price of £80. within a day or so, theres a few bigwigs being sold, and there final price was £10-£20 less then what i paid. so did i pay over the odds for my bigwig?

well the marine one i have is in a wild willy 2, and it works perfect.
